The New Republican Guard

Well if there is going to be a “new guard” it can’t be old establishment guys or else millions of current Trump supporters will sit their elections out.

Old establishment losers that aren’t much better than the dems.

The new guard will be Pence in 2028, then Don Jr in 2032, then Ivanka in 2036.

Reply: Again, a Trump re-election likely carries voters down ballot at least enough to maintain control especially with VP Pence then continuing to hold a dead locked 50-50 Senate.

And Dems are in a strong position to keep House.

Reply: Tend to agree with you here, but then again Trump’s 1st two years in office waved a red flag in the House.

Of course, a Blue lower chamber with Trump re-elected in January 2021 means another impeachment.

And just maybe that is something that gives pause by enough voters to go down ballot Republican.

Seems like people are weary of mutually exclusive partisan agenda’s…

Why would a blue lower house impeach President Biden?

Noem says Trump Supreme Court nominee Barrett made critics ‘look like clowns’ at confirmation hearing

She certainly did that. That’s what happens when your foes are your moral and intellectual inferior.

Did you watch it?

Nope. Had no intention to.
Its Democrats trying to pick apart her expertise and stances. And Republicans slobbering over how great Trump is.

Too bad. If you had, you would agree with the good governor.

What about Tiffany Trump? She’s dabbled in politics, with a particularly interesting speech this past weekend.

Maybe Lara Trump. She’s like her father-in-law, making fun of people with disabilities, then denying it when confronted.

There will be no more Trumps after this one.

Should Trump be re-elected Ivanka will be the one I think might very well test the waters down the road.

Not in 2024 though.

Wow correct. The opinion of one person who watched the democrats get their asses handed to them by someone much smarter than them. :slightly_smiling_face:

Never happen.

NO. Why would they want more of what they’ve had for these last 4 years? It’s not been a picnic for any of President Trump’s family.

Hasn’t changed the betting odds one iota

Biden remains the strong 3/5 favorite

Trump the long shot at 8/5.

The interesting thing to watch will be what the GOP does post-Trump.

Will the old guard try to take them back to the pale, tepid days of yesteryear?

Or did the new guard learn from Trump and throw out the bad while keeping the good?

I think Judge Barrett gave them a very good model to follow as far as composure and decorum. Trump could learn from it if he was capable of learning.

As far as policy, Trump showed them the way in many cases. If the GOP thinks the McConnells “Harumphing” and clinging to the past is the way forward, they are sorely mistaken.

The left’s insanity is an opportunity.

The republicans will probably blow it.
