has nothing to do with a vaccine mandate. sweeden was the only country in europe to not see a recent delta surge, thats because they used a different strategy. it worked as good as any other. they got what they wanted, a population thats more immune than others.

Perhaps it is because most of their old and unhealthy population died in the first two waves?

Sweden disagrees with you
“If we have the continued low pressure from the virus which we have just now, then maybe proof of vaccination (for larger public gatherings) would be enough,” Anders Tegnell, the architect of Sweden’s no-lockdown approach to the pandemic, told a press briefing in the Swedish capital Stockholm.
“But experiences from many other European countries — the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria — suggest that if the spread of virus increases, then it is not enough.”
he doesn’t disagree with me. he disagrees with reality. and data

He’s the architect of the Swedish covid policy you are touting. You are now saying he disagrees with reality?
where am i “touting” any policy?
i’m just curious why it is working. that’s just according to the data.

twice the population and 10 times the deaths…what does that say to you?
that deaths vs population are not a simple 1 to 1 relationship
5th grade math.
what’s it say to you?

huh?
Ok, lets do this…total deaths PER MILLION
Sweden - 1,474
Norway - 204
Finland - 244
Denmark - 497
lol Sweden is ranked 56th in countries with no of deaths per 1 million
way under the us, uk, italy…huh
wonder what they are doing…

For one, Sweden is requiring proof of vaccination for anyone attending an indoor event with more than 100 people.

We were discussing their performance with their nordic neighbors, who are more similar to them in climate and population density - they are very sparsely populated countries.
Why have they done so poorly in comparison?

Sure about that? Sweden pop density 22.1, Norway 8.54, Finland 16.37 and Netherlands 413. So it would seem they have a wide distribution of densities
