It would dwarf the German Expulsion from Eastern Europe after World War II.

I’d rather find some compromises. I used to feel like we should just break the republic up. But thinking about it more deeply and how divided it is even within the existing state and county/parish lines I dunno how it could be done without being a ■■■■ show.

Nah. It would cause severe nationalism to develop on both sides of the divide. Which would make it ugly. Very ugly.

I’m not claiming that there’s going to be secession or that there would even be a managable means of doing so. I was mostly agreeing with this following statement of yours:

The Republic isn’t satisfying the people anymore.

I guess simply put the desire and feelings regarding secession will not go away and likely will continue to grow.

Georgia is far more urbanized than Alabama, Mississippi, or Louisiana, though. Which is why Democrats do better on federal elections there than other places.

Also Alabama is a good place for her. I don’t want her ass in my state. Lady is an embarrassment.

Like many states all over the country. The problem is that a politically based split would be more by urban and non urban areas than by state. It would be a huge red map with little blue holes in it.

My half-sister who already had waaaay too much on her plate (cancer, chemo) has a boy in with bad company like that. He got in a fight with another while playing video games (as I understand the story), there was gunfire and his brother napping in the next room got hit in the head and now has problems from that wound.

I recently came across a meme that asked: “Why can’t life’s problems all hit us at 18 when we know everything?”

… the sad truth is so many well before that have only mastered proverbial “chips on shoulders” and eye rolls but they think anyone with even a lick of sense has nothing to say.

Thank God guns were easily available to those men so they could resist tyranny.
