What world do you live in? Who is going to take power and eliminate anyone.

Seriously over the past few years the conservative fantasies of some despotic left wing government will take power and eliminate the constitution have moved into the mainstream.

This is what will happen. Dems will lose in November as we typically are in the midterms. If the Dems win another 4 years in 2024 the country will still be here in 2028 when in all likelihood a Republican will win the white house. Rinse and repeat.

The constitution will be intact and this country will continue to grow and evolve. Just like it always has.

It may wane some of its influence globally but the US has no intrinsic right to be a global power.
