You realize a high positivity rate would mean you’ve found a real hotspot and aren’t just shooting blindly?

which is how the spike is measured.
By whom? The mayor of Miami flat out stated he is using positivity rate to make his decisions. So did Abbott in Texas.
Then they are dumb.

Ok, if you say so.
Yes, I do.
The increase in cases isn’t just testing. New guidelines include untested contacts in the “cases” number. That is, if a confirmed positive test subject says they were in contact with 5 other people, all 5 are added to “cases” even if they are never tested. 100% transmission rate is assumed. Even incredibly nasty diseases like Ebola don’t have 100% transmission rates.
Really? Tell me more. Where did you hear/read this?
Evidence the death rate is climbing.
Texas COVID-19 Coronavirus update by county with statistics and graphs: total and new cases, deaths per day, current active cases, recoveries, historical data, trends, projections, and timeline.
The daily death chart indicates a rise over a seven day average. Same for Florida. Places like Georgia less so.
How do you explain the fact that Florida, Arizona and Texas are now using refrigerated trucks to store COVID corpses because the morgues and funeral homes are full?

I know, that’s not the rate.

Yeah,that’s false.

What metric?

He said increase in the death rate. I know deaths are increasing.
The rest of the globe has been fooled by a plot to elect Joe Biden. The deaths in Italy and around the world in the last four months are no different to other years.
That’s what cracks me up the most, it’s some global conspiracy to make Donald look bad. Like he really needs help with that. He does a good job of that all by himself.

Florida department of health exposed for massively inflating COVID-19 positivity rate - TheBlaze
"For example, state data showed that Orlando Health, a local hospital, had a 98% COVID-19 positivity rate. But when WOFL reached out to the hospital, hospital officials said their positivity rate is only 9.4%.
State reports also claimed Orlando VA Medical Center had a positivity rate of 76% — but the hospital told WOFL its positivity rate is only 6%.
The Florida Department of Health blamed the discrepancy on labs they claim are not immediately reporting testing results."
You realize this data actually reveals the exact opposite of your contention, don’t you?
Suppressing negative results makes Florida look better at controlling the virus, not worse.
And the positivity RATE has nothing to do with the total number of new cases per day…which is how the spike is measured.
That is flat out wrong. Suppressing negative results raises the overall percentage of those testing positive to those testing negative. FL goal was to keep the positive testing rate below 10%. When it went above 10% that is when we started to put back controls. If you have a region who says they have a 100% test positive rate example (say 75 positive out of 75) that raises the testing positive percentage which our controls are based on.
No that mistake does not affect overall total positive count.
That’s what cracks me up the most, it’s some global conspiracy to make Donald look bad. Like he really needs help with that. He does a good job of that all by himself.
A tacit admission that any real problem would make him look bad because of his staggering incompetence.

Scamdemic.
Even DeSantis says that there is nothing underhanded going on here.
Prior to the coronavirus, hospitals and laboratories were required to report illnesses under Florida law. DeSantis said during the pandemic, the state asked labs to also report negatives.
“We then said, I think (in) one of my executive orders, report the negatives too,” DeSantis said. “A number of labs who were just simply doing kind of what the default is, which is sending the positives only without sending the negatives and so I don’t think they were trying to be underhanded, those labs, I think that’s kind of what they were doing before this started.”
For at least the past 11 days, the Florida Department of Health coronavirus report shows hundreds of laboratories are reporting 98 to 100% of COVID-19 tests are coming back positive and according to the DOH those statistics are because some private...

lol. this makes no sense.

neither of them are smart enough to understand what that means.
How do you explain the fact that Florida, Arizona and Texas are now using refrigerated trucks to store COVID corpses because the morgues and funeral homes are full?
liberal bias obviously.
