You can’t be a socialist or a communist and desire an economy that involves capitalism. Go to your local DSA meeting and tell them Pelosi is a socialist and watch them laugh at you.
Most Democrat politicians will say whatever they think would get them votes if the voting public were as stupid as they believe the voting public to be. Fortunately, the voting public is not as stupid en masse as the Democrat politicians think they are.
You are correct about crony corporate capitalism practiced by Nancy Pelosi. But what you are not seeing is, this is part of “democratic capitalism”, AKA communism and socialism, where those in power, and their pals, live large on the taxpayers dime. What she practices has nothing to do with a free enterprise, free market system where the people are left free to succeed or fail at their own hand.

Communist and Socialist governments practice capitalism. Under government capitalism, taxation is used to confiscate private “capital” which is then re-invested to achieve government goals. But under our Constitution, those “goals” are defined and limited beneath Article 1, Section 8, Clause 1 ____ limitations which our federal government has transgressed, and in so doing, has all but destroyed our once free enterprise, free market system.

Higher standard of living, health care, life expectancy and freedom?? We already have these things without socialism. All the Democrats can do is diminish what we already have. Free stuff always produces shortages.
This so called “socialism” you guys keep pointing to is crap… It’s all heavily subsidized by CAPITALISM! Privately held corporations ( which socialism doesn’t allow) are heavily taxed, without the heavy taxation, these socialist Utopias would be third world hell holes. The citizens are also heavily taxed. Their standard of living is NOT what ours is and if you want to see the results of socialism, look at Greece and France. France had riots last year over their new gas tax that was passed to combat “global warming.” How’d that go over?
You believe liars like Pelosi and Sanders? Both of them, especially Pelosi are far richer than most Americans. There is not such thing as a rich socialist because socialism doesn’t ever produce wealth or prosperity or equality. Socialism is a lie that confiscates the wealth of people who are trying to make it through capitalism, IOW, the middle class. The rich remain rich and in power by taking the earnings of the middle class, distributing just enough to the poor to keep their illusion of hope up and keeping the rest for themselves. The result is two classes of people, the peasants and the Pelosis…
