So every day Americans are bombarded with our President’s thoughts, particularly via Twitter, and increasingly they are becoming attacks on anyone he perceives as “enemies”. As it becomes normalized, the less scrutiny his comments receive, and the attacks themselves are aimed at any scrutiny. Over time they seem to just flow into a narrative that his supporters incorporate as truth, and everyone else is too tired to care.
A recent example is his attacks on Google; immediately his supporters latched onto it, even when it became obvious that Trump really did not really understand what a search engine does.
So after a day of push-back, since Google has the voice to do so, he finally followed up with “evidence”; this was essentially another forwarded conspiracy from an random internet source, something he has started to do with increasing frequency:

Now, to his supporters this is the hard evidence they crave, and I am sure most will forever consider this fact. They will ignore threads like this and pretend it is all “fake news”. But the reality is this was just manipulation by our President, and a lie:
And this is occurring on a daily basis, our President appears to be no more informed than a random person on the internet, completely willing to lie to the American people to support his narrative. He does not verify anything and just posts anything that fits his narrative (how about that 52% approval rating!); It is disturbing and getting worse.
The normalization of the President lying to us on a daily basis has to stop, accepting his lies as “Trump being Trump”, calling them jokes, or giving him a pass for using un-vetted sources can’t continue. It’s one thing to have a President who goes off script, uses “locker room talk”, and is unconventional… but lying to the American people can never be acceptable. I am ashamed at how some of my fellow Americans justify this behavior.
