So now you are gonna riff on the term “gun violence”?
Weak dude. Weak.
Violent people: generally speaking, I don’t care for them. Would you care to provide some context for the question, or is this just your gambit for the lame ass “gun violence” “point”?
Look at you. You don’t want solutions you just want to ban guns.

no its not. Why are guns, a tool, the descriptive word when talking about criminals shooting. We as as society don’t use the excuse cars kill people. We use drunk drivers or careless driver. There is a specific reason why libs say gun violence. It is all part of the narrative.

We’re behind a few of those countries that you mentioned from 2009 to 2015 in this study. We were 64th in the world.
Let’s not pretend we’re the only country with issues with murder. Think about the gun control present in some of the countries above us. Gun control doesn’t work but demographics certainly have an impact, primarily single parent households.
It isn’t gun control that lowers a murder rate, it’s discipline and dual parent households. You’ll notice Japan is among the bottom in murder. That has nothing to do with gun control, that has everything to do with the family unit in my view.

Correct. It is now a hazard to cognitively able people.

That’s a distortion.
Saying “Hey, in Australia, they had a mass shooting and then in response did XYZ. Perhaps we should consider XYZ.” is not pining for them. It’s questioning what we are doing, comparing it to others and thinking about ways to improve.
I have a tendency to hate the man…not the gun. Maybe thats why the question is asked.

Banning guns is not the correct answer is it?

Do not think for one moment gun control is a leftist only issue. Those such as Mitch McConnell support gun control as well. However, he, like Schumer, have roles to play. A disarmed America is what the “leaders” and the globe need. America MUST fall for the powers that be. “We the people” are nothing more than pawns in a sick game.
Furthermore, they can ban guns all day every day and gun crimes will not be reduced. Look at DC, Chicago, Baltimore, etc. They have the strictest gun control laws in the nation and the highest crime rates using guns.
Take the guns away and the problems of a violent nation do not go away because the mental illness is so pervasive in today’s society and it is not being acknowledged or addressed.
Remember, the shooter in Uvalde was taken down with a BORROWED shot gun… Borrowed because the off-duty Border Patrol Agent was in the middle of a haircut and was disarmed. How much worse would it have been if not for that BORROWED shot gun? Thankfully, we will never know.
Imagine guns are confiscated even those owned by law-abiding citizens. Then what, start banning butcher knives, machetes, baseball bats?
The politicians and media certainly jump on crimes committed with guns. - “Never let a good crisis go to waste”. However, the media and politicians make it a point to avoid any mention of crimes prevented or lives saved as a result of an armed citizen. Why? Pawns in a game.
Extensive books could be written on the societal ills that have resulted in the downfall of our society. It’s impossible to address it all in this forum but suffice it to say the government, media, and politicians/politics ARE the main contributors to violence and mental illness so prevalent in our society today. Until that is addressed anything else is pointless - except to the politicians and the globe seeking to destroy our nation.

What do guns have to do with the question RT posed?
It’s still a car, whether it has gas in it or not…can’t believe this needs to be explained
Honestly, it’s hard work but we need to get engaged in social media and watch for red flags in the same way that cops patrol the streets looking for law breakers. It’s public so we should be watching. When these kids start talking about shootings, retribution, etc… we need to take a quick look to see if it’s a dumb kid or if it’s someone that is a very real threat. Conspiracy to commit murder is a crime so we can arrest them (like they did with the other three or four kids yesterday) and put them into a mental hospital to get them some treatment. It’s going to take some carefully scripted legislation but that’s the direction we should be moving in my opinion. We know that almost every single one of these cases had red flags leading up to them that were ignored. Some even known to the FBI. Sadly, we’re never going to stop the lone gunman that just decides one day he’s going off. Not with gun laws, not with red flag laws and not with security measures. Doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try but unfortunately, evil exists in this world.
