AND…will increase inflation till the poor are much worse off…
Also it will just be a small amount of the actual money allocated. Much of it will be spent on socialist baloney.

If the infusion of capital into the economy stimulates production, it will not contribute to inflation beyond the norm. Particularly if the cost analysis of it is accurate. It is the non-productive expenditures being discussed in the so called “human infrastructure” bill that will increase the rate of inflation. The accelerated inflation that we are experiencing now is in a large part because of the Covid giveaways.

Printing money & spending it will produce inflation.

But as I said, … if you can believe the bean counters … they don’t have to print more money to fund this one. The so-called “human infrastructure” absolutely calls for vastly greater debt.

I don’t believe the bean counters though

Well, you might be right, but their logic is sound IMO.

Exactly correct. I am surprised that so many folks do not realize the root causes of inflation. Today I heard the Covid relief put into the perspective that the total that was infused into the economy was 15% of GDP. But it did help a bunch of folks. As you pointed out the next human infrastructure bill has the potential of kicking inflation way up. That is why I think that Janet Yellen was a good pick for Sec. of Treasury. She might be able to play the game between Treasury and the Fed enough to hold it all together.
I’m going to wait and see what the CBO score is and how they intend to pay for it before I pass judgment. I think the administration is keenly aware that this bill has the potential to really kick inflation into overdrive.
I’m not a big fan of the bill. The only items I see as necessary are child and elder care investment and education assistance. The rest they could drop.
The CBO score will tell us a lot. I did hear this morning that inflation statics from other countries are starting to come out. And it appears that our level of inflation is pretty much world wide. The harm that the pandemic did when countries ■■■■ down has boomeranged as everything got turned back on at the same time.
