Let’s be serious here. If cops were shown on the ground getting beaten down by a massive crowd no one would have questioned shooting back. These guys at the Capital were getting beaten with anything the crowd could find lol. Lethal force was justified.

Yes, by all means, let’s be serious. Cops being beaten in an entirely separate area of the Capitol is not justification for use if lethal force against protesters in other areas of the Capitol. Particularly as there is no evidence to suggest that the cop who killed Ashley was even aware that some other cops had been beaten.

By the way, there were no Congresspeople in the hallway. They had exited even before the windows were broken out of the doors.

2 out of five were “unacceptable”. You find this as a serious hearing when those who might raise questions Pelosi doesn’t want to hear are banned?
All Republicans should withdraw and denounce this political show.
Banks was removed because he wanted to find out what capitol leadership was doing during this riot. Pelosi found that to be an unacceptable question. It is fundamental to this.

The video shot by one of the protesters who were behind the door, clearly shows the Congresspeople exiting at the far end of the hallway before a couple of protesters began to break out the glass.

So, you want the committee to find out what the anti-Trumpers were doing among the invading crowd?

Maybe because they were being kept out of the people’s house, when Dem protesters whave been allowed in to protest and disrupt proceedings for the previous four years of Trump’s presidency. Maybe they objected to Dem protesters getting preferential treatment from the House Speaker.

I remember protesters in the galleries trying to disrupt Cavanaugh’s hearings before his successful appointment.

I remember conservatives being banned from silent protests in the halls of the Capitol, just holding signs, at the same time as Democrat protesters were allowed vocal and intrusive protest in the same places.

If I were to find myself inside the United States capital breaking through a barricade while participating in a riot … getting shot by capitol police is an assumed risk I would be taking.
