It was the economy then too.

How many conservatives publicly consistently denounced the events leading up to, and the attack on the capital?

The ā€œconservativeā€ response to the attack, and to the events leading up to it, is very relevant though.

Not exposing that Trump worked to destroy the Republic is worse imo.

Even if the supporters don’t care… or worse… cheer what they tried to do on….

If pence bowed to the pressure exerted on him by trump and by the mob threatening his life, and refused to certify the count, or even if the count was delayed past the constitutionally appointed time, the door would ave been opened for further shenanigans, including counting the fake slates of electors trump allies ordered to be drafted.

And the thing is…. We aren’t supposed to care about that.

It is buck wild.

Funnily enough there is another correlation.

Bryan was absolutely a more charismatic presence than McKinley, and Bryan had a populist appeal.

McKinley campaigned from his front porch.

McKinley won.

If Pence got in the trump SS car, and they took him out of the city…

Doesn’t excuse the fact that he ordered his VP to ignore the consitution. That he stood in front of a crowd and encouraged them to threaten his VP so that he would do as he was ordered.

If they could have convinced Pence to go along with the plan… or remove him and Grassley take the gavel… and Grassley was on board with throwing out electors.

Remember when they tried to remove Pence from the building and he refused?

He knew.

Are you surprised that people care that the POTUS refused to protect the capital and his VP from a violent mob?

It’s weird that you expect people to just not care about that/

I’m sorry Trump hurt you.
