I’ve never left the position of “innocent until proven guilty”. Hillary was guilty and both the AG and FBI Director admitted that. Their position was that she was too stupid to know she was doing wrong? Now…how corrupt is that?

I have a feeling that the concerns about tan server are just an excuse to root for the home team.

As in almost every election, I must choose between the lessor of two evils. That said, I’ve written in the name of Donald Duck more than any other candidate. If it was between Biden and Trump…of course I’d vote for Trum and if you wouldn’t, that says more about you and your level of discernment.

Because you don’t actually care about someone mishandling classified material.

Rooting for the home team is more important than that.

Not true…Smyrna says HE cares about this “two tier system of justice”.

But are you saying going outside controlled government systems to communicate with people on official government business, like Jared Kushner did, or taking away reams of classified documents from the White House to Mar a Lago like Trump did, is perfectly acceptable behavior so long as “more people want Trump as President than Biden”?

It is a power that the President has now because the GOP has no spine and no moral compass.

The second impeachment was about a dereliction of duty in a lack of response to the protection of the Capitol when his supporters took part in a violent attack. Since then we have found out that Trump was doing much worse than a dereliction of duty and was using the power of his office to overturn the results of the election that he lost, thus breaking the over 200 year political tradition of peaceful transfer of power.

The election had not been certified. You can’t overturn an election before it is legally certified. Only democrats would try to do that.

The States had certified their electors. Trump
was operating under the bizarre legal theory that the Vice President could reject electors at will. They had even gone so far as to set up slates of fake electors to take the place of the legitimate ones.

This was just the end of a months long pressure campaign to over turn the election all the way up and down the chain of election officials across the country.

But seriously. If they were successful in overturning the election by using a parliamentary procedure that no one accepted as legitimate… what do you think would have happened after that?
