If…what you state is even remotely representative of her mindset, then she must have had a gun to do her bidding because how can she, a woman, outpower those men there protecting what you’re saying she’s there to overthrow, without a weapon? So…if what you just said is even remotely true, where was her gun?

I’m sure you know more about what he did than the judge and jury.

it’s almost like someone edited videos for the wackos to be able to say he was harmless.
A little self awareness wouldn’t kill some people.

So you think browsing the internet is equivalent to an investigation and trial with a full prosecution and defense?
lol.

Dude…just pay attention…can you?

It seems you don’t really mean this. You want it desperately to be tolerated.
“Let YouTube’s algorithm feed you content designed to play to your biases and keep you watching more advertising so Google makes more money”.
Thats what “do your research” means. Flipping through a phone watching videos sitting on a toilet.
That’s not doing research. Thats choosing to be programmed.

Again, I’m glad you know more than the judge and jury in these cases. You should call them and share notes.

Talking to you is a complete waste of time when all you do is spout unintelligible feelings.

It’s not a feeling at all.
It’s a conclusion based on your posts.
You think the edited videos you watch on the internet is equivalent to a full blown trial before a judge and jury with a real honest to god prosecution and defense, with real investigation with unedited, complete video and facts.
You think 41 months is too much for someone who was instrumental in goading the crowd and who left a threat to our VP.
these are your posts and they are inconsistent with your claim that the actions of the rioters should not be tolerated.

Right? And it’s just kind of dropped in the middle of the article.

There is much work to be done to gain trust WRT mail in voting.
A Carter Center press release in May said the commission report “noted among its many findings and recommendations that because it takes place outside the regulated environment of local polling locations, voting by mail creates increased logistical challenges and the potential for vote fraud, especially if safeguards are lacking or when candidates or political party activists are allowed to handle mail-in or absentee ballots.”
“However, the Carter-Baker Commission found that where safeguards for ballot integrity are in place—for example in Oregon, where the entire state has voted by mail since 1998—there was little evidence of voter fraud,” the Carter Center statement continued.
***The commission’s main recommendations on vote-by-mail and absentee voting were to increase research on vote-by-mail (and early voting) and to eliminate the practice of allowing candidates or party workers to pick up and deliver absentee ballots. ***
Fortunately, since 2005, many states have gained substantial experience in vote-by-mail and have shown how key concerns can be effectively addressed through appropriate planning, resources, training, and messaging.
Carter himself is quoted in the press release saying, “I urge political leaders across the country to take immediate steps to expand vote-by-mail and other measures that can help protect the core of American democracy—the right of our citizens to vote.”
Can it be done? Sure. Was it done in 2020? Not so much in terms of trust.

Maybe he shouldn’t have plead out then. It doesn’t matter what you and I think, he looked at the case arrayed against him and decided to accept the sentence.
But take heart. That dude is going down in infamy. History books 100 years hence will show two pictures when describing the failed insurrection. The first will be the people scaling the capital walls, and the second will be him.

There wasn’t trust because one of the candidates was saying for months that if he lost that means that there was fraud.
Hey… remember when that same guy questioned the results of the election that he won? That his electoral victory wasn’t enough? That he also thought that he won the popular vote?
The major problem that I see with how the Presidential election happens in this country is not one of voter fraud but of the increasing disconnect between the electoral vote and the popular vote.
There are only so many times that the popular vote can get overridden by the minority before people lose complete faith in the system.
That is the true danger.

Amen.
I’d also like to add that if it was R’s that had lost 2 elections in the last 22 years despite winning the popular vote, that is all we would be hearing about.

Quit portraying the trust issue as one sided. It is not. Roll back to 2016 or look at Stacy Abrams.
Stacy Abrams got the consent decree and that helped turn the Senate blue.
Focus needs to be on trust and validate.
We are a Republic, not a mob rule populist vote.

Stacy Abrams was able to get more people to vote than the GOP.
The GOP was operating under the exact same rules.
And I understand the nature of a Republic. But if the majority continually get locked out because of esoteric rules… then the system will collapse eventually.
Abrams and the GA Democrats claimed that minority ballots were being disproportionately rejected upon signature comparison.
So they sued, send and judge agreed with them.
That is the way the system is supposed to work. That is hardly a “mob rule populist vote”.
