She has absolutely nothing to do with planning.

Yes Capitol Police messed up. The commitee said they will be looking into why they weren’t better prepared. If they don’t then I’ll agree that their work should be considered suspect

It absolutely is. Several of those conversations were imploring the President to call off his supporters and the President’s response to those requests is relevant

Did she tell protesters to March on the capitol.

I missed that.

Allan

Not relevant to being on the committee. There is no such thing as “conflict of interest” on a committee like this. Everyone is biased. This is not a trial…other than in the sense of a show trial.
Again, he was not the only Republican removed by the Democrats.,

Bingo.

What???

Prosecutors haven’t heard from Mr. Pierce since Aug. 23, when he appeared before a federal judge in one of the U.S. Capitol riot cases.

Since that time, the U.S. attorney’s office has heard “conflicting information” about Mr. Pierce’s health and whereabouts.

On Aug. 24, he was to appear for a status hearing but didn’t show up. Mr. Marshall appeared in his place and told the judge that Mr. Pierce was absent because of a conflict. A few hours later, Mr. Juman wrote, Mr. Marshall attended another hearing for a different defendant represented by Mr. Pierce and told a prosecutor that he had been told Mr. Pierce had been in an accident and was on his way to a hospital.

On Aug. 25, Mr. Marshall again appeared in place of Mr. Pierce in yet another hearing for an accused Capitol rioter and this time told the judge that Mr. Pierce had been hospitalized with COVID and was on a ventilator.

After that information became public, someone else told an NPR correspondent that Mr. Pierce did not have COVID but was hospitalized due to symptoms that might be related to COVID and “appears to have been suffering from dehydration and exhaustion,” Mr. Juman wrote.

The next day Mr. Marshall appeared again in another case, U.S. v. Peter Schwartz, a Kentucky man who had been living in Uniontown when he was charged in connection with the Capitol riots. This time Mr. Marshall told a prosecutor that he had not had contact with Mr. Pierce but that a friend of Mr. Pierce had told him that Mr. Pierce was sick with COVID. Mr. Marshall said another friend, however, told him Mr. Pierce was not sick with COVID, Mr. Juman wrote.

It would appear the fiction is contagious.

Trump-hating Globalists and Trump-hating globalists. Completely bipartisan.

Disliking the head of the party does not stop a person from being a member.

I was anti Carter and pro Kennedy in 1980.

Was I not a democrat?

How do we know what she told the capital police.
Don’t you want to know what nancy knew and when she knew it.
I think her phone records need to be looked at as well as her computer.
If we are going to have an honest look at what happened that is. If it’s just another leftist partisan witch hunt as it looks to be as of now than go on with the clown show.

Why the focus on Pelosi? Why didn’t you mention Mitch McConnell who had just as much responsibility as Pelosi did?

I wonder…:elephant:

Why all your focus on what the GOP house members were doing and who they were talking about. Seems you could care less what the leftist knew and who they talked to. Are you not the one saying this is not a political witch hunt while at the same time saying grab those GOP phones?

That is not all of the focus. The focus is how this all happened. And if GOP members of Congress and/or their staff members were involved, why does that make it a witch hunt? Don’t you want to know?
If there was no involvement, so be it. Then the focus should be on the organized groups involved and what pre-planning they did. And if there was pre-planning involved was it funded, and by whom.
And certainly why was there intelligence about a attack and yet the Capitol Police were not adequately prepaired. There are a lot of questions. And from what I have seen the committee is seeking the answers. So why is Kevin McCarthy trying so hard to block what they are doing? Does he have something to hide?

I see you are doubling down on your witch hunt. Let’s ignore what the leftist did or did not do let’s get those evil conservatives.

Well, your first clue would be that Democratic members aren’t out there running interference for the insurrectionists

Like I said, if Kevin McCarthy has nothing to hide, why all the push back?

So the Democrats are supplying their phone records to the Republicans who are demanding theirs… because … the Democrats have nothing to hide?

Um the republicans don’t have subpoena power, the dems do.

Allan

Irrelevant. Dems can volunteer their phone records if they have nothing to hide. But they wont so, they must be hiding something… by your logic.

That’s not how investigations work. We don’t request records of people uninvolved in the crime to satisfy the vindictive urges of cranks on the Internet
