The future of America Democrat style!

Upon conviction that should be the killers own punishment.

No 30 year delay either.

So I guess you believe that most black American are largely stupid and incapable of success?

The fact is that when government rewards bad behavior, guess what, you get more of it.

That is absolutely true! :+1:

I live in a major California city. It has its problems, yes. But the dystopian image created by Fox, et al is grossly inaccurate and dishonest. I’ve had friends and relatives from the East and South call asking, ‘are you okay?!?!’ Thinking only Snake Pliskin can save the day. Laughably naive and gullible. A reminder to all: Fox makes a fortune peddling this stuff. Be a good shopper: test drive before you buy.

lol. false. black people who are born in America have an average IQ of 100.

immigrants who come over on HB1 visas, quite a bit higher.

Allan

So explain for us how white people can see that and, therefore, don’t impede black immigrant’s success with racism.

While you’re at it, show us the IQ data from HB1 visa applications.

Like every state there are certain parts that are pretty good and certain parts that are pretty bad. California does have its share of problems though:

Here is an interesting perspective on Gavin Newsom’s California from historian David Victor Hanson.

Completely pathetic! From your link:

California’s astronomical gas prices and taxes remain the highest in the continental United States. Ditto the state’s trifecta of the highest electricity rates, the costliest home prices and the fourth-highest home insurance costs.

California has the largest unfunded liability debt in the nation, approaching $270 billion. The budget deficit each year usually ranges from $15 to $70 billion. Such profligate spending and deficits explain why the state also has the highest income taxes and state sales tax rates in the nation.

Half of the state’s 41 million residents are now on Medi-Cal. Some 50 percent of all births are Medi-Cal-provided — and growing.

California has a lot of other firsts among the 50 states:

The largest population of illegal aliens.

The largest number of homeless people.

The largest number of people fleeing a state.

The largest number (11 million) and percentage (27 percent) of foreign-born residents.

The largest number of people living in poverty.

The highest food prices in the continental United States.

The state’s infrastructure is usually rated near the bottom.

California ranks among the five worst states in per capita violent crime.

Yep. So Libs … When you hear people pushing for Gavin Newsom in 2028 by saying "He will do for America what he has done to California!” you know what you would get.

Very late to the thread, but I can answer this.

You have a whole lot of 18-25 year old men filled with testosterone and most are out on their own for the first time in their lives. What do young men want at that age???

Problem is, alcohol is added to the mix and you get major problems. You have young men who are away from home, from their loved ones, and they make bad choices. There are reasons why base commanders have historically placed off-base establishments and even areas off-limits. It impacts troop morale, mission readiness, and has ruined more than one military career, and in some cases lives.

For this reason legalizing it, especially around military bases is a very bad idea.

NAS Memphis was the same way, within walking distance there was 2 tattoo parlors and 3 or 4 “gentleman clubs”, BUT they were not strip clubs because they sold alcohol, that said, one could drive into Memphis and find one or two that could sell alcohol and go full nude…from what I was told… :winking_face_with_tongue:

The piece you cite is the problem.

It takes some truths and enlarges them and theatricalizes them into things that do what feeds MAGA most: scare. I watched half the video and found half a dozen instances of shoddy, ‘journalism’ and half-truths.

Here are just a few. Use of the word, ‘dystopian’. Outright not true and a word that should not be used unless one is describing a place like Gaza. Good writers choose their words carefully. He did not unless he did for a specific reason.

The reporting on shoplifting and Prop 47’s minimum value felony limit. Fails to mention California considered the measure flawed and several new measures and imminent measures that will reverse much of Prop 47. Why didn’t the writer mention this?

And yes, Nordstrom and Target did close a store or two in bad areas of the Bay. But have dozens still open in much of the Bay Area with no announcement of closing. Further they cite as a reason closing the catch all term ‘changing of the downtown market’. Is the writer not aware that Big Box stores are going out of style and that nationwide: 2,847 closed in 2023; 7,100 in 2024 and we’re at 5,000 so far this year. Why didn’t the writer contextualize this? Nope, he attributes closes to only crime.

Reading the news today is getting harder and harder because we have to work harder, and it rests with us to fact check. I believe in 15 minutes I worked harder than the writer on this opinion piece.

Shabby, partisan persuasion much of it easily disproved.

Speaking of driving here’s the result of Democrats capriciously awarding CDL’s to all these phony asylums seekers who crossed the border under Biden, a bunch of accidents and dead Americans:

…and it’s these woke, “sanctuary” lawbreaking cities and states that are giving these licenses out. They should be held liable but…as we all know…NOTHING will happen to these individuals but those J6ers…
