This and the CDC/Eviction order.

I would think doing something you know violates the Constitution would violate your oath of office.

Has Nancy drawn up Articles Of Impeachment yet?

To be fair, it’s probably none. Our current taxes are probably still being used to pay off things our grandparents or great grandparents spent on.

Great post and 100% correct.

Sure. I’m paying for a lil bit of a lot of stuff already. Stuff I don’t use.

The reduction in the student loan isn’t a reduction in the money that was issued. The reduction is in the income to the government….

The government is letting people keep more of their money. That’s of course bad for those who always want the government to let people keep their money.

No principles?

You do know if Brandon gets a 2nd term he’s going to raise your taxes, right?

Isn’t the sunset provision before his possible second term?

Eta Ah it’s in 2026. I wonder who will control the branch that can actually edit the sunset provision

That depends. Just like tax loopholes favor some Americans over other Americans, if the government gives you something to take advantage of you take it. Sooner or later they will do something that doesn’t favor you anyway. It won’t bother me if the court stops this, but if they don’t then even though I am way too old to take advantage of it, at least my kid can.

How can he do that without making a deal with the Republican House?

There would be another election in 24 for the house though soooo

True enough. I just don’t see the Dems winning the house back that soon.

That’s true.

Welp…looks like the first lawsuit has been smacked down. Next up: 6 Republican states

The work around was simplicity itself: don’t give the plaintiff debt relief.

I would imagine this will eventually go to the Supreme Court it will be interesting to see if they base their judgment down partisan lines or rule it as an overreach of the executive branch. Who knows they might all green light it. I was under the impression this can only be done by congress. Seems like the WH had the same feelings looking at past comments on the issue until they went ahead and did it.

I am starting to wonder what good is congress if each president runs the country by executive orders like this sure seems those government salaries could go to a better cause.

Yea, ALL politics, useless.
If it is so popular then there should be absolutely no problem doing it the right way…right??

Mebbe. I mean, I guess they would want to go to the SC to keep up appearances, but I think the jig is up on this one.

Yeah. And that would make sense if the country was running properly. But it’s not, so this just doesn’t get done.

It’s a good ruling and it forced the DOE to clarify.

It should be an opt in instead of opt out, but it’s an ok ruling by a non-Harvard judge from somewhere other than DC.

“In a reversal…”

Quit making excuses, I thought Biden was going to “fix” things, you know, bring sanity back to DC. All he is doing is perpetuating the issues we face.

Time to stop doing EO’s and get his party which has the majority to start submitting bills to address what he is addresaing via EO.
