The killer’s. If the murder was done in an effort to get rid of the enemy of the people that did not come from a vacuum.
Libs are now resorting to misquoting in the forum. You posted a response of mine as though I responded to reporters being killed. But actually, my post was in response to a different statement.

Blackwolf:
Donald isn’t the first POTUS to attack the press or have an adversarial relationship with them. He is unique, however, in that it’s the major focus of his administration.
The enemy must be fought.
It used to be a violation to TOS to do that kind of stuff.

The voices in their heads and other loonballs like Maxine Waters. I have no problem with her being held accountable if liberal voters start assaulting those they disagree with
Come on Sik. Hour after hour of the message. 24/7 plus all the crap on the internet.
You are inciting people right now.

The killer’s. If the murder was done in an effort to get rid of the enemy of the people that did not come from a vacuum.
Republicans are racists didn’t either. Don’t we know the motives?

It used to be a violation to TOS to do that kind of stuff.
I was asking you a question, not twisting your words. I want to know what happens when a Trump supporter follows Trump’s rhetoric and decides to take out their enemy. Will his other supporters hold Trump accountable for his dangerous rhetoric?

Nixon was very anti press.
No, he was anti-“bad” press. Just like everybody else.
Really good discussion.
So what have we learned?

Really good discussion.
So what have we learned?
I’ve given it a lot of thought and arrived at nothing that doesn’t involve more government involvement. I would offer educating consumers (in school) and teaching them to identify bias, unnecessary use of adjectives, personal attacks, etc. Kinda a media literacy curriculum. I was fortunate. My father would read a variety of newspapers, he said, to see how the same thing was being reported differently. He even subscribed to the London Times to see their view.

I would say we’ve learned the press is biased. The left-wing press is the enemy of right-wing people and vice versa.
They are excellent at feeding our confirmation bias.
And they are capable of inciting violence but don’t want to be accountable for that power.

thinkingman:
hmm interesting. can you show where he says:
“trade wars are easy to win”
“the media is evil”
“the media is the enemy of the people”I’ll take the first: “When a country (USA) is losing many billions of dollars on trade with virtually every country it does business with, trade wars are good, and easy to win. Example, when we are down $100 billion with a certain country and they get cute, don’t trade anymore-we win big. It’s easy!”
Bolded for your convenience.

thank you!
glad someone finally addressed these.
note the “when a country is losing many billions in trade” part.
context matters.
when you isolate quotes and sound bites you can make anything sound bad
thank god finally a president wants to start fighting back against the US being raked huh?
I love your comments Sneaky…

Indeed. So are they still the ‘press’? Tough one.

Thank you, it means a lot.

Were they ever the idea of the press we were taught?
You been here for a long time, and, you have seen the elephant, Bro…

Always really good. In fact he is one of the posters I look for to determine if the thread is actually going somewhere.

I did, for the fun of it, look at network news broadcasts from the 50s-60s. My informal analysis is a helluva lot fewer adjectives. They were more news readers. Then the editorial at the end by a very old white guy.
