That is all the party has become. The party of victimization and grievances. Nothing about them inspires leadership, unity, governance, or competence. Oh man. That was absolutely powerful. The stark contrast this presents between these two men running to lead our nation couldn’t be greater. One of these men makes fun of people with problems like this. Bullies them. Attacks them. Has hate and venom running through their every uttered word. The man takes kids like this under their wing and tries to raise them up. Tries to make them better and the nation better as a result.

I’ll laugh quite a bit as Trump occupies the Oval Office for at least 2 years as a lame duck President without his party in control of either house of Congress. I picture him sitting in the corner, phone in hand rage tweeting, rocking back and forth with spittle on his chin.

Biden speach was awesome. Even better is anyone who thought Biden was the senile shell of a man that Trump discribed him at can no longer buy that narrative (not that they won’t still push it. But if they watched they know it’s not True)

However I disagree with the Dems thinking that Trump is gonna struggle next week without a live crowd.
There is no doubt that Trump feeds off a crowd. So yes, he will have less energy.
But a crowd and his energy being high is when he goes off script! That is when he starts rambling like a mad man!

With no crowd, no feedback, he will read the speech on the teleprompter. It will lack energy, lack emotion, and probably lack facts…
But the words themselves will be perfect and his base not only will eat it up, they will use it as “Proof” he has grown into the job.

Biden needs to be ready to counter.

I agree mostly. Trump has been known to go off script even with prepared remarks. These kinds of speeches are more “Presidential remarks” than “convention speeches” with crowds, applause, etc. The person needs to connect with the audience on a more mental level. Can Trump do that? To a point I suppose. Clearly he’s a better speaker, showman when in front of a crowd. I think he’ll take a hit because of it. The question with Biden was, “Can he show some life?” And he did. There really isn’t any expectations or questions that Trump needs to answer. Anyone still asking the question, “Can Trump be Presidential?” is a fool. That ship has sailed.

Biden, who delivered a heartfelt message based around empathy and working together will be countered with Trump delivering a monotone speech filled with grievance and sniffles.

Sadly, his description fits the current GOP perfectly. The GOP was once the party of conservatism, hope, responsibly, and growth. Those days are gone. They traded those things in on doom, authoritarianism, and conspiracy theories when they joined with Trump. Now the whole organization reeks of those things

Sadly Trump and the GOP are the only thing standing between America and the destruction of our way of life planned by the socialists masquerading as Democrats.

The doom you speak of was on full display on that zoom call disguised as a convention last week. There was nothing positive in that circus…other than Trump Sucks and America Sucks because Trump Sucks and of you oppose the fact that Trump Sucks your a stupid racist abs you suck too.

There is nothing more authoritarian than the green new deal, Medicare for all, and the intimidate tactics of Black Lives Matter.

I am surprised at how effective this invention was.

Definitely a little soulless in parts, but they did a great job leveraging the strengths of the format IMO.

Now I’m curious to see how the GOP team does.
