This isn’t what happened

Sure it is.

He is also saying that it has an impact today.

Just like the Civil war outcome impacts us today

You guys really need to identify the organizations engaging in systemic racism and file a civil rights lawsuit. Get a move on now!

That would be a total waste of money. The lawyers would benefit though.

Disproportionate to the whining.

Bruce Boynton died this week. Rest In Peace

That’s not why they aren’t doing it. They aren’t doing it because systemic racism is a myth.

I should really look into the 1619 project. Sounds interesting. I’ll ask a friend what he thinks about it; he’s currently writing a book on the forced labor camps in the south.

You should look into it. It’s the liberal plan to focus on decades old racial crimes in order to push Marxism today.

This sort of stuff interests me. It may be decades old to you but in my family’s lifetime.

Same. But oppression is not happening today. They are trying to fix a problem that doesn’t exist.

I’m not sure what you mean by oppression. It can take numerous forms. We are definitely still recovering from the absolute theft and wanton abuse of the jim crow era. In the early 1960s the black poverty rate was something around the high 50% rate. Today it’s down to about 18%.

There’s progress being made. Whether or not there is oppression, recovery needs to occur.

People are being held back by their lack of education, criminal records, drug habits, lack of work record, skill set etc. Racial oppression is way down at the bottom of the list. If it makes the list at all. It is incredibly rare that anyone is held back by their race. So rare you seldom if ever hear of it anymore.

The Democrats are trying to convince you of the opposite. That it is quite common. They only problem is, they don’t provide examples. They just say, believe us. I don’t believe them.

Oppression is minorities not having majority power.

There are examples, such as the examination of racial bias through job applications. I’m not convinced that what we are seeing today is not the culmination of the wagner act, homestead act, police state, theft of farm land and deindustrialization.

In the private sector? So what?

Must be why conservatives feel oppressed

It’s a complex.

I don’t. But then I’m a liberal. Although I am a minority.
