Even the drama in this post…right?

So racism is a social construct. Society can deconstruct it. I think maybe one of the best things we can do while we wait for mixed to make it disappear is stop classifying. The government should stop asking. The only two classifications they need are citizen and non-citizen.

There’s no drama. The very name of the 1619 Project claims it. Have you even read any of it?

All of it.

Apparently you haven’t. Their premise is well defined. Slavery of Africans, on this soil, started in 1619. There is nothing historically inaccurate about the title or the premise.

 Good night.

Breaking news: Slavery ended 155 years ago.

Yeah, what they needed was a War on Poverty. That would have really fixed things.

I love this implication that the “War on Poverty” was only for the benefit of black people.

Blockquote

What was the illegitimacy rate then compared to now, and how much of an effect do you think that has?

Maybe some BS degree like Social Justice, compared to a welder or plumber. How many blacks are in STEM fields? I guarantee they get paid much more than whites with high school diplomas.

Got any?

I assume you’re talking about birth outside of wedlock. I would assume the numbers would be lower for all groups, not just black people. I’m not sure there’s a relationship between poverty level and out of wedlock status; if we were to accept that there is a relationship, it would be an inverse one on the societal level.

It’s available for free on google. I’m not posting a link to PDF on this website.

The LBJ “war on poverty” just seemed to encourage the breakup of families which led to ever increasing poverty.

Not at my company. Or any of the 4 multinational corporations I have worked for. Qualified African American employees are in high demand in corporate America. Being black is a real advantage in getting hired. No doubt about it. You are also making the false assumption that the people reviewing the resume’s are all white. You would be hugely mistaken. I worked with a biologist named Shanika. And her name was never an issue.

Bingo. The multinational corporation i worked for was the same way.

Yep. Nobody is trying to reduce their numbers of African Americans. The whole idea is stupid.

Our company was hiring close to 50 percent minorities(Blacks, hispanics, asians ). Much higher numbers than than minority population percentages.

The idea of discrimination floated so much by libs was total baloney there.

That is CJT racist.
