Sure.

“He lost, so I never liked him as much after that, ‘cause I don’t like losers,” he said. Trump went on to dismiss McCain’s war service: “He’s not a war hero. He’s a war hero because he was captured. I like people that weren’t captured.”

and? thats his opinion. his opinion does not denigrate McLame’s service. and McLame was a loser.

personally, I believe McLames actions while captive were commendable and he was a hero. If to no-one else then to the guys he was with. I don’t expect other’s to think so because I do. And if they don’t, that does not denigrate his service.

This is reasonable even though I disagree.

I’m doing my part today.

(Actually I haven’t done any of the parts today)

HIs service was not falsely denigrated. He was called out on his lies about his service and his running when he had to actually see some kind of combat. Why are you defending his lies? Do you think an honorable soldier would run out on his men and lie about serving in a war zone and his rank?

You’re confused, we were talking about McCain, not Walz.

“Centrist” we are told.

They tried this when the bill was crafted.

No one bought it then either.

“Tried” … and you are here making excuses for them. Surprise, surprise.

Excuses for what?

Ignoring hair on fire slander about what the law actually means?

Your own post says they “tried” … I guess someone was just looking back then.

Meaning that they tried this smear.

No one bought it because it is stupid.

Providing equity to the poor is part of most DEI programs.

Yale giving aid to poor applicants isn’t white privilege. It’s DEI. If vance was black he would have gotten the same deal.

His time in a POW camp deserves derision because you don’t like his politics?

Nope.

Multiple sources.

The “losers and suckers” comments were first revealed in a multi-source article from The Atlantic on Sept. 3, 2020. The article, “Trump: Americans Who Died in War Are ‘Losers’ and ‘Suckers,'” laid out Trump’s 2018 canceled visit to the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery in France. According to the Atlantic’s close sources, Trump canceled the visit claiming that “the helicopter couldn’t fly” and that the Secret Service would be unable to drive him there — the Atlantic reports neither statement were true.

The Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg instead reports that sources close to Trump said that the real reason for the trip’s cancellation was that Trump worried his hair would look bad in the rain and photos would be taken.

Trump reportedly said, “Why should I go to that cemetery? It’s filled with losers.”

The Atlantic also reported that during a different exchange on the France trip, Trump called the Marines who died in the Battle of Belleau Wood “suckers.”

It’s wild that you believe Trump over Kelley.

Except for John McCain.

And that gold star couple - they didn’t serve obviously, but their son did.

But General Kelley and the other sources are not.

Wow. Just wow.
