I have a feeling 24 is gonna suck for the dems economically. Massive inflation could easily turn into a recession. And that would make either Biden or Kamala be terrible candidates.

Desantis is actively unpleasant. And it will come out in a year long presidential campaign. As you say, the base will eat it up, but I wonder about the swings.

I’ve been watching some of him lately. I wouldnt say that per se. He has the ability to charm the hell out of the base with his red meat talk. But it would be really interesting to see him try to work a general election where he has to pivot and not act like a Tucker Carlson clone.

I think anti gay alienates too many people. If they over reach there, it could damage them for sure.

I don’t think abortion will be that big of an issue. It’s been decided, we lost, and the work arounds are underway. But over reach is a possibility there too, I guess.

Yeah, it’s not like Republicans started bringing up gay and trans junk. Most had a leave them alone to do what they want attitude. For some reason the elite left faction decided to push on everybody that they and their kids had to accept every form of gender that could be imagined as ok…for their children.
I still can’t figure out why the Dem elite thought this would be a good thing.
