I think anti gay alienates too many people. If they over reach there , it could damage them for sure.

They are writing anti gay rhetoric into their party platforms.

I just don’t think so. Gay marriage has been a fact of life for a decade now, and gay people have been around…well, forever.

The republic has endured, and turning on gays now will definitely alienate the squishies. That would be damaging. The attack will be oblique, vis a vis religious exceptions to public accomodation laws.

Again…the false idea that Republicans were just sitting around and all of a sudden some of them came up with the idea to go bash gays. That’s as fake as “don’t say gay”, which was really a reaction to some educators deciding it would be a good thing to indoctrinate 3rd graders and below that it is ok to be whatever gender you want to be.
Some, probably most, parents believe in helping their children normalize to the one of two sexes that exist. It might sometimes not happen and parents might have to deal with that if and when.
It is not the job of the state to determine that parents must normalize their children to be gender fluid.
But for some odd reason Democrats just won’t stop with the telling everyone how to live.
