The Curious Case of Kilmar Abrego Garcia (Part 1)

ya think. you are off your game on this issue.

first you say no way will CECOT release him, now you are waffling.

just admit you were wrong and let the district do their job that they are required to do as remanded by SCOTUS.

Allan

I wasn’t aware of the 1-year incarceration agreement, and neither were you. Had forum members been aware, discussions would have been very different.

we knew they were sending prisoners and money to El salavador.

did you really think it would be open ended as to a termination date of said agreement.

Allan

We did know it was for 1 year of services.

“The arrival of the immigrants, alleged by the U.S. to be members of the Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang, took place under an agreement for which the Trump administration will pay the government of President Nayib Bukele $6 million for one year of services.”

Cut the crap, pretending you were somehow in the know. You weren’t, so stop pretending you were.

Then, why was I the first to link to it? If this was widely known, feel free to point us to the earlier forum post explicitly making that statement.

everyone knew peek.

its not a sudden revalation like your knowledge.

money and prisoners to el salvador.

Allan

And yet no one mentioned it in any post, until I provided the link. Go figure.

I’ve talked about the $6,000,000 the US is paying to house the prisoners.

First mention was on post #56.

We knew about the $6,000,000 from the get-go. We just didn’t know about the particulars. Our subsequent posts demonstrate that we knew nothing about the 1-year arrangement. Find a post, prior to my linked post that even hints at that 1 year. I certainly wouldn’t have been saying that CECOT would never release anyone, had I known the arrangement was only for a year. Follow on posts would likely have speculated about what happens after the 1 year is up? No such posts.

The $6 mil was commonly mentioned. The contract duration was not.

I’m kind of disappointed to hear that this is only a one-year deal, though if El S’dor releases them after a year, it won’t be back to the USA.

And,of course nothing says the one-year deal won’t be renewed year over year.

Bingo!

It would probably now be appropriate to discuss what happens at the end of one year. My guess is that it would be extended as long as Trump is president.

If a future DEM president were to terminate the agreement, CECOT would likely release them. Would a DEM president then send a plane to bring them back? Or would they all eventually find their way back on their own?

It was common knowledge it was for a year.

And yet no one saw fit to mention it in any post prior to the link I provided. Go figure.

I’m truly sorry some of us were more informed than others.

I’ll try to make my post longer to assist the uninformed.

Glad to help.

One simply has to go back and find mention of it prior to my post. Pretty straightforward exercise. :+1:

Here it’s a thought. When talking about legal cases.

Try reading the court documents to get real information to understand background and facts.

I’ve personally posted documents and links in the thread.

So, you basically got nothing. I didn’t think so.

But you are welcome to show us in the documents you refer to where we would find the 1-year arrangement was mentioned.

If the 1 year was really common knowledge, don’t you think someone would have mentioned it in any of the posts?

So basically we’ve killed this guy?
