The Curious Case of Kilmar Abrego Garcia (Part 1)

I blend all those hearings together…my bad.

Yes this was the evidence used to deny Garcia a bond.

The standard for that is much lower and Garcia’s lawyers had no opportunity to really contest the evidence.

Which is why I have repeatedly said it can’t be considered sufficient enough to be sentenced to prison with.

Disagreement with you doesn’t constitute dishonesty.

He wasn’t charged, let alone sentenced to prison. He was deported back to his home country.

He was sent to prison.

Every time you pop up your rationalization, I’ll be here with the facts.

Garcia wasn’t deported to his home country. He was deported to a prison.

You know this.

To say otherwise is dishonest.

Our current government is incompetent.

He was deported to El Salvador. There is no such thing as deportation to a prison in a foreign country.

With this evidence mounting deportation would have happened! We shot too fast from the hip.

You’ll be here with your LW talking points. I would expect no less.

Why won’t any of you answer who’s called Morin or Riley’s families from the left?

The left claiming this man is a saint is starting to back fire, be that as it may, he had the right to face his accusers. We denied him of that. That is wrong.

Stop lying.

He was sent to a prison in ES that we pay for.

well how about that….

in a known human-smugglers car…

The protect from deportation to El Salvador would have been removed, as the threat to Garcia’s safety no longer exists. Following removal, he would still be sent to El Salvador, and he would still be sitting in prison today. If he is returned, the result will be the same. The protect order would be removed and he would be returned to El Salvador.

I never bought the him being an honest law abiding citizen garbage! Be that as it may, he has the right to stand in front of his accusers in a hearing.

He might yet get that chance to once again appear before an immigration judge, but I wouldn’t hold my breath. Either way, he will remain in El Salvador. There is no scenario where he is set free in this country under a Trump administration.

He is a slam dunk deportation, why rush it? This created controversy that was unnecessary. The left portraying this man as a visage of Christ is insane, he’s been detained by police multiple times. It’s also insane to deport someone without a hearing when they have a stay.

A mistake was made. He was accidentally included with a group of Venezuela gang members.

Yes it was a bad one! It’s also bad to walk around praising this guy like he’s the visage of Christ. He’s not. He was worthy of a deportation. This is a classic case of two wrongs don’t make a right. Why couldn’t Bondi just provide this to the judge from the outset? Why the Cloak and Dagger act? I’m tired of being a reasonable person seeing unreasonable things.

Here is my take. He belongs exactly where he is. He was mistakenly sent there without first appearing before an immigration judge. But he was just delaying the inevitable.

The administration’s position seems to be, that he would have ended up there anyway, so why should we return him here, just to send him back again? I kind of agree.

But if ES does decide to return him, Trump will facilitate his return, per SCOTUS ruling. He will have his hearing before an immigration judge, and he will be promptly sent back.
