Yes, there are those who feel like that a level playing field leaves them behind somehow and what their place in society will be. We saw a lot of them sacking the Capitol to try to get the first White President back into power. I’m sure there will be a lot more violence while things shake out.

The moral arc of the universe is long, but it bends towards justice. Maybe.

Sarcasm and pretending to be ignorant won’t work for you.

There is no code, but funny you bring up “code” in a discussion about Seuss.

No it isn’t. Pretending the culture war doesn’t exist won’t make it go way.

Cite the outrage. The companies did this themselves

I am not ignorant… not even pretending. But I am being sarcastic.

Throwing every single thing into the cultural Marxism bag is like Youtuber outrage video stuff… stuff that Sargon of Akkad does for the engagement algorithm

It’s silly.

Sometimes… the world just moves on and it is okay.

“Level playing field” - meaning what? That 13% of the population has, what was it @PurpnGold? 41% of the power?

And it’s not even 13%. That’s counting immigrants. And falling.

It exists. I fully understand that.

It is just so so stupid.

Yes you are.

It’s not “every single thing”. And you know it. It’s not Mr. Peanut for example, despite your attempt to mock by using it.

Yes it does and is. But this Woke imposition is not “the world moving on”. It is a concerted effort to move the country in a specific direction and replace values, imposing new ones.

You’re wrong. It’s not stupid. It is very effective and inevitable.

Which direction and which values?

You know the answer to both. They don’t hide it and you are far too intelligent not to know.

Nope. It’s dumb.

There is a segment of the country who is really concerned with a content warning on the Muppets… a show that they haven’t likely seen since the 70’s.

People actually give a crap whether a cartoon skunk will get more content added to animation canon… it is silly.

It is a distraction.

It is dumb.

Actually I don’t.

It’s not the cartoon and you know it. It’s the hegemony. Seriously, stop.

No, that white privilege isn’t the dominant force in America.

Here’s an example, one I’m sure a lot of people are familiar with and have maybe engaged in themselves.

A common attack on Obama was that he wasn’t REALLy black, he was half white. This observation was made pretty much exclusively by whites people, who somehow felt it was their role to define other people’s race for them. For some reason a lot of those same people would say unkind things about the black half, but you never heard any pundits call him a “half Kansan”. It was always Halfrican or some slur like that.

Culturally and ethnically, obviously Obama is black and identifies as such. Had he lived in segregated America, I doubt white people would have emphasized his being not really black and gotten the same treatment as every other black person.

What makes white people the arbiters or others ethnicity? It was startling how so many comfortably slid into the referee position shout a second thought to define what other people really were.

Overall it comes down to a lot of white people feeling like they’re the ones that should have the power in America, and that’s what the Capitol insurrection was all about. Biden got into office with a broad coalition of diverse voters and his VP is black (here it comes, I can feel it). The people sacking the Capitol and those that support them have turned their backs on American democracy and they don’t care how they stay in power, just that they do so because that is their rightful place.

A hegemony?

A publisher letting six books go out of print is a shot fired.

A rebranding boxes of parboiled rice will lead us into a cultural hellscape.

Is that where this is going?

Land o lakes is a weapon to control the masses.

Yes you do. I have explained it. I have provided you primary source materials and connected the dots for you. And your response is always the same.

You are not an ignorant person. You know what they are doing and why.

Which leaves two choices: either you believe it won’t work (despite all evidence to the contrary) or you want it to.

It will and is working. Every day we lose a little more. It makes me laugh when people say “it’s a free country”. What a joke.

A thousand shots fired is the end of a war.

Slippery slopes are real.

When they came for the …

Attacks on liberalism are just as real from leftist totalitarianism as they are from fascism.

And you know that too.

Yes. A hegemony.

The dots look like this.

Seriously. If I can’t buy six Dr Seuss books I was never going to buy ever to begin with… am I really free?
