is this supposed to be proof of “racism?”

Do you really notbunderstand what the deficit and debt are? The day Obama took office the deficit was already 1.5 trillion. Why are you putting that on him? It had nothing to do with him.

Do you genuinely think it would be to instantly cut the budget by 1.5 trillion instantly? That is completely retarded and would collapse the US

Obama cut the deficit by a trillion over his administration.

Trump added 2 trillion to it. If he kept up the pace Obama started we would not even have a deficit

Well, I understand Obama ADDED 9 TRILLION to the debt. NINE TRILLION Looks like Biden is going to surpass that in his first 6 months…

I’m not sure if you really don’t get this or what.
Obama took office with a 1.6 trillion deficit. If he did nothing he would have added 16 trillion to it. Obama left office with a like .5 trillion deficit.

Trump took office with a 500 billion dollar deficit. If he did nothing he would have added 2 trillion too the debt. Sadly he didn’t do nothing and added almost 9 trillion to the debt in 4 years.

Trump added 7 trillion more than he would have if he had kept the same deficit.

Obama was able to save 8 trillion dollars by lowering the deficit significantly during his time in charge.

Not really sure how this is going over anyone’s head. And I need to keep repeating it.

No it wasn’t. It was something like 1.1 trillion. Other 450 billion was Obama Economic Recovery Act that was signed in mid February…which about 450 billion of that was payed out in 09.

Just like they’re going to put part of price tag of Covid bill on Trump…and they want to do that again with infrastructure.

In 2025 when repugs take over they need to signed 4 trillion dollars on massive economic plan and put half of it in Biden budget year.

Can you show me were you are getting this from? When I was researching this pretty sure I saw 1.4-1.5 budget was approved/implemented under bush.

Even if you are right under Obama deficit was brought down to manageable numbers while even before covid Trump had drastically increased it.

I know I’m right…Bush was responsible for about 1 to 1.1 trillion for year 2009. About 450 billion was added to it because of Economic recovery that Obama and democrats passed in mid Feb. About 6 to 700 billion of Bush deficit was due to lost revenues. But still he was pushing about 400 billion dollar deficit for that year before housing crises started. I was here complaining about it then with posters like JohnRock and Nebcon.

And then once Obama got elected…I hold him to same standards that I hold Bush…and forum libs called me a racist. Those were the same libs that were praising me for my position under Bush.

So ■■■■ em…I’m not giving em any ammo.

Now you are talking down to me. I understand enough of this subject.

My point, if you care to hear it is under Obama the DEBT increased more then it did under all previous administrations combined. I am NOT talking about the deficit. Are you ignoring that?
Obama was the one in charge. He COULD have done something to NOT increase the DEBT. He instead increased it more than anyone, ever before him.

You can tout his deficit all you want. HE INCREASED THE DEBT MORE THAN ALL THE OTHER PRESIDENTS BEFORE HIM COMBINED.

He could have refused to. He did not.

You can deflect about what Trump did, but it does not change what Obama did.
Stick to the subject or I won’t discuss with you any more.

Do you understand how the deficit effects the debt? The 1.5 trillion deficit was in place before Obama took office. Of course the debt is going to increase more than ever when the day Obama took office he was handed a deficit that was 400% larger than ever before that was in place before he even took office.

What Obama did was decrease the deficit faster than it had at any time in our history. Obviously trying to instantly wipe a 1.5 trillion deficit during a recession is not just retarded but impossible. The circumstances around when Obama took office (1.5 trillion being added to the debt each year) guaranteed the debt was already going to increase 400% more than any other year.

Obama left the country on a path to continue to reduce the deficit without destroying our economy by reducing it slowly over time. If Trump kept up what Obama has started at a fraction of the pace the deficit would be gone.

There you go again…and what’s funny is you’re accusing Ceasar of not understanding.

So did Trump. And Trump added MUCH MORE to the debt in 4 years than any President before him

Do you also understand that Trump added 7.8 TRILLION to the debt in 4 mere years.

Where was your criticism the last 4 years when Trump did everything you’re complaining abou

Based off what is being said there doesn’t seem to be much room for anything else. The budget was set and the debt was going to increase by 1.5 trillion before Obama took office. That was set in stone for the first year Obama took office.

This will tell me everything I need to know going forward Do either of you actually think cutting 1.5 trillion in a single year during a recession would be not only feesable but a smart move?

Did Obama signed economic recovery act on February 17, 2009…yes or no lib?

How much of that went right out to be spent there after?

Who Budget year was it?

Now you sound like educated man…now think and don’t attempt to change the subject.

President George W. Bush’s last budget—for Fiscal Year (FY) 2009—created a deficit of $1.4 trillion

What does some Obama bill have to do with that

He took office with a 1.4 trillion deficit and managed to lower it by one trillion during his administration.

Why are you debating reality man

Was that total deficit…1.4 Trillion dollar? Yes or no?

Pure baloney. Fiction. He DID NOT HAVE TO INCREASE THE DEBT to help the deficit.

As always, DC does not have a revenue problem, they have an overspending problem. Republican and democrat.
If this doesn’t stop we will all be millionaires, Zimbabwe style:

It’s worth .42 cents.

Spare me the noble Obama reducing the deficit by heroic amounts. It was boosted by a trillion to deal with an economic meltdown, he doesn’t get credit for not continuing to spend at crisis levels after the crisis was gone.

You can’t say that! You can’t say that! :hear_no_evil: :hear_no_evil: :hear_no_evil:
