I presume you are being extremely ironic when you say “role model of governance”?
American politics is like watching Jerry springer, its great.

We could discuss cricket @CanadianJudo!
I am not sure I would describe the Aussie cricket team as a team full of gentlemen.

I can’t argue with Canada being politically boring.
This is interesting in a wilderness area with help often far away…

I love a lot about Canada. It’s pretty much the best place in the world for fishing, skiing, and hockey, and The Kids in the Hall is still one of the greatest shows in TV history. But I don’t disagree about Canadian politics.
Getting a license isn’t very hard, Hunting is very popular in Canada.
I got mine in a single weekend.
Hunting is fun I don’t go out much anymore though.
I fish more now less effort just a 5 min walk to the river.
Fishing in insanely popular in Canada, but we do have more fresh water lakes then any other country in the world.
I personal fish every weekend in the summer on Lake Huron.

So you’re really worried about your “mates” who moved here? Awww!

I used to fish in Canada with my grandfather, but I haven’t been there since he passed away many years ago. Such a beautiful country for anything outdoors.
Canada doesn’t have a gun “culture” guns are mostly viewed as a tool for hunting, hobby ownership is very low compared to hunting.
Iv never really though about bring a gun when camping in the back woods, iv only seen a bear once and it ran away.

Black bears are pretty docile. I see 1 or two every year in PA.
Brown bear territory is where one really should have a firearm. Just give the bear the first swipe before defending.
