Sure it is. It’s putting emotions over the quality of education. To me, that is radical. The only one it hurts is the person making that decision. No one else could care less. Make a spot for someone who puts education first so really, they are doing everyone a favor.
Did you miss the part where I pointed out the quality of education at universities for the most part varies very little?
There are enough high quality universities in parts of the country where abortion will still be allowed that a decision based on abortion availability is not one that will impact quality of education.
Not participating, but reading. I’ve gotten used to not discussing certain issues with those who will not debate without using the rhetorical phrases of the day. Shows no imagination.

OK…change it to "LIBS changed too much and scared the poor widdle conservative toddlers, so they raged and threw a tantrum. And it’s the LIBs’ fault they acted like ttoddlers?
That’s the excuse you want to go with?

So change happened too fast for conservative reactionaries, and they raged back like little children…it’s the LIBS’ fault things changed too fast so the conservative toddlers got scared and threw a tantrum.
That’s the excuse you want to use?
Go for it!
If you want to call killing a baby who can live outside of the womb “change” and that everyone else just has to get used to it “a tantrum” then go for it yourself. Seems to me the only ones throwing tantrums are the pro-choice crowds.
Again, you all shot yourself in the foot. Calling it “change” and pointing the finger, making excuses “oh, it just happened to fast”… is part of why you (c) can’t seem to grasp that not all are boiling frogs and refuse to jump in your (c) pot.
Typical to point the finger elsewhere other than at yourselves (c).
Why don’t you think on it awhile. Maybe, just maybe, there is that little bit of truth in the back of your mind that this was taken way too far and push back was inevitable.

Keyword… choice .
I have no issue with their choices. Choose away. Like I said, make way for someone who puts education first. No skin off my nose.

They would be secondary factors in weighing the pro’s and con’s of attending a college that best meets their educational requirements.

It’s nothing more than shifting the blame and grasping for straws.

Again… why assume these young women aren’t putting their education first?
Have you been to college? If so, did you tour campuses? There are many secondary reasons why someone may choose a certain school. Could be dorms… sports teams (even if they don’t play a sport), access to beaches… access to transit… etc.
These women likely do value education (otherwise why go to college) but they are using other factors to down select the right school. One of those factors is how the state views women and their bodily autonomy.
Why is that “stupid”?
Correct. Secondary but important. I could get a great education from Duke, Stanford, MIT, Georgia Tech and UCLA. However if I want year around nice weather and beaches… I’m going to UCLA. If I want 4 seasons… I’m probably going to Duke. If I want a more liberal environment… probably going to Stanford.

There are enough high quality universities in parts of the country where abortion will still be allowed that a decision based on abortion availability is not one that will impact quality of education.
So if a student applies to one of the top ranking universities and is only accepted to one in a state that has abortion restrictions, they are going to go to a lesser university cause they’re all the same or have little difference in quality?
In states where abortion will be (or already has been) made a crime, a miscarriage, by definition, becomes a potential crime to investigate.

Why is that “stupid”?
Asked an answered.
Yes, as well as for my son.
Again, no skin off my nose. I hope they all gravitate to a college with like minded people where they can safely protest to their heart’s content.

Everyone who disagrees is stupid!
Very on-brand with your general posting style.

It’s true. And by different men pays better too, it’s based on a percentage of income.

Is this the scenario of the OP?

No it doesn’t.
Correct, not every miscarriage. Just the ones the state finds out about.

That’s what the purpose of this entire thread was.
To feed a sense of moral superiority with a little slut-shaming thrown in for good measure.
One can tell by the very assumptions being made in the posts.
Gold I tell you…GOLD!
