I enjoyed Better Off Ted, but it didn’t have the optimism of The Good Place, which compared to the heaviness of most of what’s good today (and there’s a lot of good stuff), is a good change of pace.
I think they made the right decision. They should have pulled the plug after Season 10. My husband and I have been fans for years, but we just didn’t watch most of 11. Didn’t even see the finale, when Sheldon and Amy got married.
Not to drop names, but I got to meet Shelley Long and Ted Danson when the show was about to premiere. They were both not well known, so they were quite nice. And yeah, that show was great It jumped the shark a bit when Kirstie Alley came in, but it still did pretty well though not nearly as well as it did in the first few seasons.
Never really got into the show but I don’t really like sitcoms that well. Last sitcom I had any interest in was That 70’s Show but I probably have only seen about half its episodes and none in the last two seasons.
The closest thing to a network sitcom I currently watch is Crazy Ex-Girlfriend which is more a dramedy with musical numbers (that are often hilarious in and of themselves) than a sitcom.
