And link the vaccinated to the traced I would think. Cross-reference.

That is this company’s unique selling point.

How would you know when your immunity wears off?

How would you not infect the 10%?

I was under the assumption that part of the trial process was to determine that

How would I infect others if I’m immune to it and can’t catch it?

The trial will provide an estimate of that (I’m assuming it has progressed long enough to get an estimate of how fast the immunity degrades) but Phase IV studies (when the vaccine is out “in the wild”) will need to be done to determine that for sure.

You won’t be immune, you’ll be vaccinated.
How will you know you aren’t asymptomatic and shedding?

So by 2024 we’d probably know those variables and have a vaccination schedule established similar to the yearly flu shot correct?

What is the effectiveness of the influenza vaccination?

Some of the early results from the AZ vaccine hinted that this might be what is actually happening (COVID is turned into a cold). Then it wouldn’t be a vaccine as much as it would be a therapeutic.
An actual vaccine doesn’t work that way. It helps your immune system kill off the virus before you build up enough of an infectious load.
But you are right…you could be one of the 10% for whom the vaccine is not effective…and so therefore you could be a spreader. And unless everyone who gets the vaccine is monitored continuously, you’re not going to know which one you are.
And given that this virus spreads stochastically (i.e. small percentage of individuals responsible for most of the spread), we are all going to be wearing masks for some time.
But anyhow I’m not celebrating yet. I want to see the actual trial data.

Let’s say I test positive. I give my contacts for tracing. You’re one of them. You’ve been vaccinated. How are you going to prove that and are you going to get tested?

Hopefully Pfizer and all the companies are collecting a bunch of genetic and other patient data so they can see if there is a correlation between genome and vaccine effectiveness.
Would be nice to have predictive biomarkers for whom the vaccine will work and for whom it won’t.
I suspect we will eventually get that data but not right away.

Some people are actually thinking masks in crowded places might become the norm…forever.
In many Asian countries, it kind of already is.

Will the government have access to that data?
JayJay

Don’t they have access to all data?

Seriously I wouldn’t be surprised.
Our ability to collect this data is proceeding faster than our ability to govern who gets it and how it’s used.

Do you expect a COVID questionnaire to become SOP in medical facilities, regardless of complaint, and for that information to be provided to the government?
I think you can easily believe it when you put it all together and realize you’re asking a conservative for a federally ran ID, national voter registration and usurping the states control of elections.
If they did that, they wouldn’t be conservatives. Hell if they do that we might not have states.
