“Hey let’s take a nice vacation to Missouri” said no one ever.
California is huge… you can avoid homeless very very very easily and still hit nice beaches, nice ski resorts… off roads and enjoy nice weather will doing it.
I guess you never heard of vacationing in the Ozarks. And the pretty parts of California can only make up for the rot so long, your native born residents don’t even want to stay there.
Save it, you took a shot at another state from the typical California ego position. The fact is the rest of the country doesn’t view California as the land of sun shine and honey anymore, and could care less what lib Californians think of the rest of the country.
American Promise has a simple and powerful goal: passage of the For Our Freedom constitutional amendment to restore reasonable limits on money in our campaigns and elections.
Eh. I’ve been to California several times and love it. Really beautiful. I love Wisconsin though and will never leave, otherwise California would be a top contender for me.
So, some of us actually do see California as the land of sunshine and honey.
I would say every state, at least the ones I’ve been too, have good and ugly parts.
Like I say about my own state. Come here to MS for the awesome food, stay because you got murdered. Our food is great but we have one of the highest murder rates in the country. I accept it. It’s part of what makes it home is the chance of someone ripping you out of your car and beating you to death with a tire iron.
I will say that all the states I’ve been too have fit their stereotypes pretty well. Like Kentucky. The meth really does grow on trees there. And New Jersey was a bit of a dump. I was only there for a short amount of time to take a bus ride into New York, but it just felt kind of like a dump that had seen better days. And Florida is full of nutcases methed out of their minds and wrestling alligators.
