That isn’t accurate. There are vaccines for literally hundreds of CV’s particularly in the veterinary world.
Sars and MERS were exceptions to the rule as they were more complex and had fairly high rates of mutations which made it very difficult to produce a vaccine.
So far we’re not seeing this in CCPV, it’s much closer to the animal CV’s which are far less complex and very slow to mutate.
Donald sees the political benefit and potential ego boost for getting a vaccine out sooner rather than later. If a vaccine is possible he’ll push for it, even without initial trials. The self-congratulatory tweets would be epic, even by his standards.
Human trials are already underway. You should catch up.
