An invader protected by California sanctuary policies has killed six people. Statistically, I believe that about 4 out of the 6 he killed voted for the policy that protected their killer. All California has to do is to put the welfare of their people above that of the foreign national. Will they? Of course not. They gain or keep seats by padding their numbers with foreign invaders. These people are to be used for political advantage. Nothing more. And people die. Collateral damage. Liberalism is a mental disorder.
Certainly a tragedy all around. Iâve looked at a few different news articles about this and itâs unclear how Californiaâs sanctuary policies protected the man in question. Not saying they didnât, just havenât seen anything definitive.
This was posted in a different thread, but itâs the same sanctuary BS.
Criminal after criminal released (and they are still roaming the streets) because Chicago Sanctuary-something-something decided to ignore ICE detainer requests.
An immigration detainer is a request from ICE that asks a federal, state or local law enforcement agency â including jails, prisons or other confinement facilities â to:
Notify the requesting agency as early as possible before they release a removable alien.
Hold the alien for up to 48 hours beyond the time they would ordinarily release them so DHS has time to assume custody in accordance with federal immigration law.
Now the first one I donât much see a problem.
The 2nd one I wouldnât do if I was Local Jail 6.
Theyâre not allowed to turn invaders over to ICE. In a state such as Ohio, ICE would have been called and he would have gotten a plane ride south before he killed anyone.
Letâs start with these illegals coming to the country because of stupid should be completely illegal sanctuary policies.
Ask yourself a simple question..
Do big liberal run sanctuary cities in big liberal run sanctuary states encourageâŚor discourage illegals to come to American and land in those places?
Sanctuary cities undermine the law, encourage criminals to come to this country, and give them a place to essentially hide from law enforcement.
The whole idea should be banned by law and by simple common sense.
âThis serial criminal killed six innocent souls. Governor Newsom has blood on his hands. This serial criminal should have never been released by California authorities,â mourned Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin in a DHS press release. âSanctuary policies protect the WORST OF THE WORST criminal illegal aliens. ICE will do everything in our power to remove this serial drunk driver, abuser, and drug user from our country.â
In 2024, Cerillo-Bialva was arrested for the third time for driving under the influence, but Gavin Newsomâs California released him. As noted above, he subsequently killed half a dozen people in a drunk driving incident.â
Hand this dude over to ICE and get him out of the country and those six people arenât dead today.
This quote is 100% true.
âThis serial criminal killed six innocent souls. Governor Newsom has blood on his handsâ
All of what you outlined has merit regarding how we got into this situation in the first place. But this thread is about after-the-fact sanctuary cities and states dismissing ICE requests to detain such criminals so that ICE can take over and deport the guy. This is a deliberate act on the part of the âsanctuariesâ to keep these criminals among the general population by refusing to let ICE deport such criminals and instead releasing them.
Keeping a prisoner beyond the time they were legally to be released has been ruled unlawful many times. Thatâs what the detainers tell local jurisdictions to do. Clearly something needs to be done, but breaking the law to accomplish it ainât it.
There are ICE facilities everywhere across the USA. âHeâs getting released tomorrowâŚâ Thatâs all the heads-up ICE needs to take the next step. ICE will be there the same day, never mind the next.
In practice, that is not what ICE does. They often show up after time of release for whatever reasons and then complain about it. Fact. Itâs been going on for years like that.
