has nothing to do with reopening “too quickly”. The CDC said from the start that as we reopen their will be spikes in areas that we will have to deal with. This is 100% expected and was part of the plan.

the big counties in texas,travis,dallas,bexar and houston have ordered mask use in businesses,businesses that dont require it can be fined. abbott refses to allow enforcement against individuals though

Psst, federal guidelines are tougher than what Texas did. Most states failed to meet those guidelines. You are barking at the wrong tree.
Trumpers during the shutdown were all about reopening and letting things run its course.
Red states open and are getting overrun by the virus, people dying.
Texas starts to close back up…Trumpers now saying it’s all part of the plan.

This is a new situation. Some states will err on the side of the economy and some on public health. Both of those things are important.
Seems to me like it’s pretty obvious to be on the side of caution, see people will say what they want about “muh freedoms” until they realize that folks are getting sick in mass…and then there will be no economy to save
