Obviously not something that was secure enough to keep his 17 yr old from using them to murder 10 people.
A massive fine, 10 funerals and medical care for all that were treated. Payments to the families whose lives have been forever altered.
Stop and think about what you’re saying.
And the costs for his son’s trial.
Wouldn’t have prevented this one. His father wouldn’t have been barred from owning the guns the shooter used. Prescribing so many drugs in the first place? Looking at why such drugs are even necessary? Who knows?
How much should it be? How much is my child’s life worth?
We’ll be more than happy to take care of that.
I’m saying I want people to think twice about the costs of having a gun in their home. One of those costs is the potential unauthorized access of those firearms.

The same exact thing can be said of anything, including pipe and pressure cookers.
Thus the need for insurance. If you own a firearm, you get insurance. Let the actuaries figure out the costs.

I want people to be responsible for the cost of exercising that right.
How about we require that insurance on the child instead of the gun? Then we’re covered no matter how he decides to do it.
