They will be given a choice, forgive the big bills or get beat hard with the regulatory stick.

I expect it will be a combination of things.

Save me, government!

Save me from the free market!

And it bears repeating that for the Griddy customers who received those whopping bills- payment has been made already, through their credit cards. So they are out all that money until (if and when) the problem is solved.

AOC raised a million dollars for TX.

I bet you a donut we the tax payers pay those bills, or we bail out the energy companies in TX.

It’s always capitalism on the way up and socialism on the way down in America, Every time.

Yeah, that’s how the “free market” used to work before everything became worth “whatever somebody is willing to pay.”

Well, come on, who could have seen this coming? /sarcasm

Giddy charged the legal amount allowed…

Amount was auto paid per the contract…

Not seeing any problem to be solved…

Yes, there is a problem

iT’s up to Ken Paxton? Great.

Not entirely, the people who got charged also have the right to sue them for the amount they were overcharged and up to triple that in damages.

She deserves a trip to cancun.

Also, Cruz should be quaratining after traveling.

Its not price gouging if they are charging with in the amount set by law…

If there was a texas law saying you cant charge more than $10 for a mask and they charge $10 for a mask you cant accuse them of price gouging…

Privatize the profits, socialize the risks/losses.

How can you be overcharged if you are charged the amount set by law?

Well that is your assertion yes, I see no evidence you are correct. There are no exceptions written into the price gouging law.

That is the American Way.

Or at least the Republican Way.

Agreed on both counts, assuming Cruz hasn’t been vaccinated prior to the trip.
