It’s not good for morale. He’s supposed to show some leadership.
I’m not a left winger by means, but this is really, really bad optics. And in times of strife, good morale is the key to recovery. Both physical and emotional.

Didn’t harm him with me, so obviously not a universal opinion.
He barely won the last time and that was when he had aspine that was at least partly intact. His aspirations have been shot to hell.
I am sure Texas Republicans will be willing to vote for a democrat because Cruz went on vacation. Whatever makes you feel better I guess.

Isn’t it generally agreed that elected officials can take a vacation? Did you complain when Obama went to Hawaii? I didn’t.
Did he go to Hawaii while a natural disaster was happening?
