Texas freedom update: THC products being banned

Senate Bill 6 would create a blanket ban on products containing any “detectable amount of any cannabinoid” other than cannabidiol and cannabigerol, better known as CBD and CBG, non-intoxicating components of cannabis. SB 6 would eliminate the majority of hemp products, including those that are legal under the federal definition.

This is the third attempt by the lawmakers in the upper chamber to remove hemp-derived THC products from the general public, as they say it’s too dangerous for children. It is identical to the House’s version, which also calls for a ban. Still, since Abbott vetoed similar legislation that would have banned THC earlier this year , some lawmakers have signaled they’d support more regulations over a ban.

SB 6 passed 22-8.“

save the child part two.

first it was the age restrictions on internet porn.

now the poisonous and deadly drug. THC

sales must stop.

say what you want about jersey. you can walk up to a store anywhere (21 and older) and pick up the THC product of your choice.

no big brother trying to save you from a life of THC drug addicted horror.

NJ could fine tune their laws a little.
AZ does even better.

The product comes (often in a child preoof container) with an exact dosage, a manufacurer name and contact info etc. same as 200 mg ibuprofen, asipirn and every other OTC med.

Just like sellng food with a calorie count and nutrition label.

Banning THC products is stupid, I understand regulating it like in North Carolina. People will just drive to Oklahoma. Alcohol sells have dropped significantly among the under 40s and they have turned to Delta 9 instead of Alcohol, lobbyists are definitely at play here.

Politicians against THC are the modern equivalent to church moms who thought D&D promoted satanism.

Comically deluded and not that bright.

Delta 9 has done better for me than Wellbutrin, Big Pharma and Alcohol industries are uniting to end THC in conservative states.

What’s Delta 9?

We regularly take trips to Michigan because Indiana is so backwards.

Miller Brewing is in Ft Worth and they have been lobbying against this. I no longer drink because of Delta 9 being accessible same for my brother. My liver thanks me for the change.

Huh. Sounds like something you’d expect an AOC/Bernie administration to do.

Indeed. It sounds like something David Hogg would support.

And you get Michoacan.

A coworker brought me back some gummies from Michigan. Let’s end this conversation right here.

Life sucks without it right! lol. Love it while watching bad 80s movies and Rifftrax.

Delta-9-THC, the commonly known version of THC.

Federally legal variants of THC transmuted from hemp-derived CBD include (but are not limited to, by far) Delta-8, Delta-10, and Delta-11.

Man very thorough! Thanks for that! Life for me without Delta 9 is rough! Abbott will veto this again. He’s already said he won’t pass a ban but will pass a regulatory bill like North Carolina passed.
