no not basically that.

it’s not hard to own property, of many forms

check your indoctrinated class envy at the forum door please

nope, if you want to mail it in its your responsibility to mail it out in time for it to arrive on time. and why should i pay for their stamp? do they pay for my gas?

Was a simple question…Would you ban gun ownership for those with same criminal past or just ban them from voting?

oh that. yeah i didnt dodge that. i flat out refused to address it.

and this has nothing to do with “conservatives” and “tuition.” stop inventing things to rail about

There is NO Global Government thus no global citizens

not sure “citizen” applies

I could start a company tomorrow. It wouldn’t do anything.

But it would be a company.

Could I vote?

Lol…Check your class superiority at the door…I owned a house on a city lot, paid the taxes etc…City lots are smaller than a 1/4 acre…guess its no vote for city home owners

do you still think this is all “stupid?”

Well… that is a load of ■■■■■■■■ right there…. Especially when we are talking about certain laws getting passed in Texas these days.

Yeah I do.

The premise of it is based on that property owners have no stake…. Which is 100% false.

These rules are pretty arbitrary though.

What monetary value of stocks would one have to own to be allowed to vote? Or would a share in a penny stock be enough?

And why is that?.. It’s obvious it’s a double standard on your part.

dang. i would have enjoyed engaging with you in these ideas otherwise

Convince me that restricting the vote to property owners isn’t stupid.

I am trying to work out where the line of demarcation is for who is and who would be prohibited from voting in your scenario.

So far I got a 1/4 acre of land. That is a definitive answer.

An ownership in a company… it is squishy on if the company had to do anything or if it makes a profit.

Ownership of stocks but we have not seen anything about monetary value. Would a single share of anything suffice?

i’ve somewhat highjacked the topic a bit not intentionally. so to address Abbott’s signing of this bill, i am very pleased. it’s a start.

we must maintain all due vigilance in such an impt aspect of this woefully wayward fledgling republic. so many nefarious influences are in play so it wont be easy to keep this honest at this point in human existence

Well … to save the Republic we must limit who can vote…… or something.

No, Tommy was spot on. You think there should be citizens and special citizens that can vote. I guess some animals are more equal than others in your eyes.

That’s a weird response. Care to address your notion of property requirements for voting and how that might effect senior citizens?
