It’s not over; there is still time.

Not stupid, you just can’t answer it. Why doesn’t someone who is pro-life advocate for solving the issue of around 80% of all conceptions don’t make it to the next stage in human development? You do not really care about the life of a zygote… prolifers only care about the stage in human develop where a heart beat exists.

When should a woman or doctor be punished for an abortion? After conception? Heartbeat? Brain function? Viability?

If you do not want to punish anyone for an abortion, then there is no point in laws being put in place to prevent it.

Life must start from life (Scientifically speaking). Sperm and Egg are alive…

But they are not scientifically considered a “human life” yet.

What does it mean to be “alive”?

Sperm is a life…

Technically … scientifically … at the moment the zygote implants in the uterus and begins to grow. It is that initial cell division that indicates that it is living.

Why?

So … if you suck a 12 week old fetus out of a womb, does it become a baby?

Then why is 6 weeks the bar for prolifers?

If we want to lower abortions, then providing the ability for low-income women and men to get contraception is a good thing.

No. They are living cells, but they do not have life until they join and become a zygote, thereby acquiring the ability to grow and subsequently develop into whatever organism its DNA destines for it to become … in this case, a full fledged human being.

Yes. They are kept viable for years outside the womb routinely.

Because a head of lettuce does not have the potential to do anything other than to become more lettuce.

You’re on the right track. Receiving sperm doesn’t either. The life they create has no owner.

Are amoeba conscious? If not why are they considered to be alive?

The picture was in direct rebuttal of the post I replied to.

But yes, it is shocking. I’m glad you admit that

Sperm is alive…skin cells are alive. Neither have human consciousness.

When do we consider someone dead? When their cells die? Or when they lose consciousness forever (no brain and/or heart function)

It’s integral to the dehumanizing process.

You are conflating alive with life. In order to have life, it must be able to replicate.

Heartbeat. It may not be scientific, but its a clear indicator of life.

Public Health Agencies already do that. But I have no problem with PP doing that too. You are absolutely correct, the best way to lower abortions is to prevent them. Well, by that and by educating people as to what an abortion really is.
