The homeless should be in military style camps and barracks. If they find that too oppressive they are welcome to get a job and purchase their own housing.

No.
Most of the developed countries have free/low cost medical care for all.
Only in the US does one go bankrupt for medical bills.

Bankruptcy is good, beats having to pay it back, no? And lol at most of the world having free healthcare, you canāt say most of the world even has effective health care.

Most of the developed countriesā¦not most of the world.
Does western Europe, with national health care programs, have the homeless problems the USA Has?

Doesnāt look like they have it solved either.
from Social crisis in Europe's housing market ā DW ā 03/21/2018
Those countries that have seen the most dramatic increases in housing costs are Bulgaria, England, Portugal, the Czech Republic and Poland. Across Europe, homeless people die some 30 years sooner than the rest of the population. On average, they live on the streets for 10.3 years.

What the hell is social mobility? Iām talking about economic freedom and economic upward mobility. Take a good long look at millionaires in this country. ~85% of them started with nothing. All I see from the left is excuse after excuse and failed program after failed program that actually INHIBITS upward mobility through excessive regulatory burden, massive welfare programs that drive inflation and bad policies that encourage single parent households to be the norm rather than the exception.
NO. We donāt WANT to do what they do because history has taught us that every time Socialism takes root, it ends up destroying that country sooner or later.

Yes. They do. Ever been to Europe?

Absolute crap. NO ONE has āfreeā healthcare. Youāre going to pay for it one way or another. Whatās the negative on government run healthcare? Lack of innovation. Most of the new medical technology comes out of the US currently but you let government take 100% of the healthcare industry over and thatās done.

To me, fixing homelessness for a lot of folks is simply providing opportunity. Create housing near college campuses and job training sites and support them while they undergo training or pursue an education that will help them sustain themselves. For a modest investment you have created a situation where this now skilled person can support themselves and pay their fair share of taxes.
If they decline and are able to partake in the program, cut them off of all aid.
If they have mental illness, provide housing and medical care, but communal and supervised. A lot cheaper than prison. Lots of old prisons and poorhouses are now empty or vacant, rehab those if necessary. Once they are capable, get them job trained as well, if possible.
Homeless on the street shouldnāt be an option. Lots of violence, rape and danger there, and kids are in peril if they are around it. We need to make a commitment to getting folks off the street and on a path. It is very doable but Libs and Cons are both going to whinge about it.

Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Germany, France, Italy, and many others, are destroyed?
Hell, even we have some socialism, and those programs are very popular and effective.

Itās the same thing.
America should be #1.
We are behind most of Europe.
I get the sentiment but to start rounding up homeless and putting them into camps is the wrong move. Maybe designate public areas where they can stay but so long as youāre not hurting someone else, I donāt think we have the right to force you into government housing and programs. Iām not sure itās a problem we can ever āsolveā, so we need to take steps to try to get mental health treatment to the ones that will accept it.

I pay a $700 monthly tax (premium) for mediocre health insurance. (with copays and deductibles)
A far as innovations goā¦a lot of the innovations is funded by government grants and loans.
Very few new technologies are discovered by for profit companies. They come in, after We the People made the initial investment.
