What the hell? Democrats have pushed father left towards the Socialist or Democratic Socialism since Clinton started pushing for nationalized healthcare.
Expanding dependency has been part and parcel of democratic policy and platforms since LBJ.
You are just admitting they have continued moving further left since the 80’s.
You mean Hillary? They have actually been pushing for that since before she was even born. Bill on the other hand went full neoliberal, even getting rid of one of FDR’s crowning banking regulations.

Bill ran on it. Hillary was simply put on his task force to create it hence the name, “Hillarycare”.

The democratic party shifted rightward ever since the Reagan years. They adopted many similar platforms of deregulation, tough on crime, free trade agreements, cuts in welfare, etc. republicans only continued pushing rightward since.
Democrats were on the “deregulation train”? They’ve fought deregulation every time it’s come up as being one of the single biggest threats to the country.
The democratic party has been going further and further left since the Roosevelt Era. It went into high gear with Johnson’s War On Poverty.
They also used to be very strongly anti illegal immigration because of protecting union labor but now they’ve even sold out the unions by going full blown open borders and amnesty for illegals not to mention sanctuary cities, counties, and states.
