You still get to be upper middle class.

Nope, just the one house.

How is it not punishment?

If we want to talk about a global system of wealth transfer to alleviate poverty, disease, climate change and all of that… I am down for it.

I have my doubts though that the subject was brought up other than to be used as a cudgel.

It is a variant on the “If you like it so much why don’t you marry it” taunt.

I just want their effective tax rate to fall in line with everyone else.

So they have some skin in the game.

So why don’t you? I’m sure the government would love for you to give them some more money.

One house.

One cabin with no running water.

No, pretty simple logic, just expanded the scope of your premise to illustrate its logical fallacy.

I said I was down for the discussion.

I would support a system of global wealth transfer to alleviate poverty, disease, hunger .

You?

Of course it is.

If at the end of the day… they still get to be Billionaires… it isn’t a punishment.

Well, you say you do, easy to say when there is virtually no chance of it happening, so color me unimpressed.

Do you lose sleep at night over this?

The effective tax rate of billionaires, federally is, 23% by the way.

Give up the cabin as a good faith gesture to Uncle Sam. :+1:

I knew it was a non serious taunt.

Nope… Why would I?

Hey… I got this bridge over here to sell to ya

Sure… I doubt that they would want it.

It’s a good home for mice though.

Pointing out they have billions in income that is not taxed is not demonizing
