Not really.
Plenty of middle class in NY got hit with it.

Already posted the figures, not many. Four percent, for an average hit of 27 dollars. Its a tax cut for the wealthy no matter how you parse it.

I am sure the wealthy did like I did… which was set up LLC’s because they still get the tax break.
Corporations are better than people.

Corporations are merely groups of people.

They are better than people.
They get better tax deals… including the SALT deduction.

I am still amazed that we have found out that between 2014-2018 Jeff Bezos saw his wealth swell to $99 Billion dollars and he paid only $973 Million in taxes during that period.
The fact that people are like… yeah… that seems about right is ■■■■■■■ wild.

Again, wealth isn’t income, we have an income tax, not a wealth tax.

I know that.
This is why we should have a wealth tax.

Does he get a refund if his stock tanks? And what specifically grants the fed such a power? And ps Bezos can afford to live in any country he chooses so good luck getting any money from your wealth tax.

He is still able to take a write off on capital losses.

Going to need a constitutional amendment to modify income tax to wealth tax.

Tax capital gains dividends and interest the same as wages.

Whatever gets us there.
But this shows more than anything what we already knew… that the ultra wealthy are paying little in taxes relative to their wealth.
it is wild that some people are like … yeah… why wouldn’t they?

Those who strive to be rich and successful look at those who have made it with admiration, not envy. They want to emulate that success not take it away.
Those who believe someone is not entitled to their success are envious because they have something they aren’t entitled to and the envious person doesn’t. They want to take away that person’s success and punish them for having something they aren’t entitled to.
That is exactly what LIB politicians are playing to with their class warfare rhetoric. “The rich aren’t paying their fair share and should be punished with higher taxes so that big government can redistribute that wealth to the working man.”

And the pretzel twisting to avoid saying “yeah; that’s just not right that I pay a higher rate than the rushers man in the world”…
And I honestly don’t believe people don’t agree that this should change. Just can’t bear to agree with libs.

They could certainly pay more and still be billionaires.
Why people are defending biliionaires is crazy.
Both sides frame the issues and aren’t entirely truthful. That’s what politicians do. You seem to be under the false impression that only RW politicians need to be forthcoming with the truth.
