Ok. Then low production in the US is the fault of business, not government, right? The oil companies could easily increase production but choose not to. Nothing is stopping oil companies from hiring more drilling rigs.
But they could, at any time, increase oil production by completing more DUC wells and drilling on land they already have control over. They choose not to. Blaming Biden because he can’t coerce American companies to go against their corporate strategy seems rather partisan of you.
Here’s a bigger question: why are you against using the Canadian Oil Sands (which the Keystone pipeline was going to bring to America), and instead prefer to continue to drill in the Gulf of Mexico?
I didn’t say “coerce”, I said convince. That dumbass and his tribe certainly don’t have any problem pissing away money on green hoax and gender studies.
Maybe he ought not attack them? Maybe he ought not claim they are destroying the planet?
No, but after seeing the Gulf of Mexico damned near turn into the Dead Sea, I conclude it’s a helluva lot safer to mine oil sands than drill all the way out in the middle of the Gulf.
50 million barrels of oil is about a 2-3 day supply.
Trump filled that strategic oil reserve up when oil prices were low … what Biden is doing amounts to taking out a high interest payday loan to pay your credit card bill.
Why not get the damn government out if the way and get the American energy industry that was doing so well a chance to do what it does again.
This is just another idiotic maneuver by our idiot president.
