So, good for the folks who are not :sheep:

And? We all know that.

Were we not talking about breakthrough cases?

JWK

No, I’m asking you.

Why are you so concerned about “breakthrough” cases?

Breakthrough cases were mentioned with regard to the following:

From what I have read, fully vaccinated people 65 years and older account for about 75 percent of breakthrough COVID cases and wind up in the hospital or die. Maybe if this age group received a preemptive antibody treatment for covid, they would do better than they do by receiving the covid vaccine. Of course, I am not a doctor but logic tells me, that because one of the most vulnerable groups falling to the virus are the elderly, focusing on a successful course of action with this group would go a long way in dealing with the overall problem. The antibody treatment seems to be an important factor in this fight. Do you agree?

JWK

Give it to everyone in that age group “preemptively”? When 94% of them won’t get the disease?

75% of how many?

Focus man…. Focus!

Maybe libs can explain this one for us.

Now one of these state had mask mandate for all indoor activities in last 3 weeks.

If you say Louisiana you would be correct.

Population density is similar, vaccination rate in those 4 states are similar.

So explain this for us knuckle draggers.

Saying that people should get vaccinated is not being against treatments.

What I am inferring from a lot of this is that people are eschewing vaccination because they believe that the treatment is either more effective or better than vaccination.

Lower the chances for getting infected in the first place and then use the treatments for the second line defense.

Falling back on the most expensive option is silly.

". . . of breakthrough COVID cases . . . "

But what does that have to do with treating them?

JWK

As I recall, the recommendation is to focus on those who are at high risk or have been exposed to the virus.

Makes sense to me.

JWKL

They are treating them John.

Me too. What do you want exactly?

How?
JWK

Exactly the way you are wanting.

Well then, what is the big ado?

JWK

That’s what I’m trying to figure out.

How about the monetary argument: vaccinations are much cheaper than treatments, up to and including hospitalization.

Another way that prevention is better than treatment is the possible long term affects of a Covid infection.

Given your concerns regarding the cost of anchor babies vs. Covid infections, I should thing this argument would resonate with you.

The cost is a lot cheaper than paying for an illegal aliens birth of an “anchor baby” which in addition to the cost of the birth, opens the door for more taxpayer financed goodies for the illegal alien.

The Democrat Party Leadership, once an advocate for hard working American citizens and their families, is now their worst nightmare.

You miss my point: the cost of vaccinating for Covid is cheaper than treating Covid.
