That’s the hope. We’re already seeing second waves begin. I’m holding off assessments of how well we do till that and the third (if there is one) pass.
Possibly. I tend to reject the limitation of comparison to neighboring countries, though.
Maybe, maybe not. Even likely not. We’ll see. The fact remains that Sweden is far from a miserable apocalyptic picture. People were expecting a much more dire scenario that never played out.
We’ll see.
Of course, Sweden did advocate for social distancing and mask wearing quite early. We shouldnt pretend that didnt have an effect on their getting a handle on reigning in the curve far faster than so many places in the US.

The US is still in the first wave. We never got it under control here.
I see that comparing neighboring countries to Sweden is useful. They have similar demographics, culture, health care systems and forms of government To me it is a valid comparison. More valid than comparing an entire country to a US city.
I am also not saying that Sweden is Apocalyptic, it is just that their outcomes are worse.

Yep. We’ve bungled from day 1 and are paying the price.
Cant argue with that.
Presumably a comparison with neighbouring countries like Finland, Denmark and Norway would be more appropriate.
