My dad was a lawyer and I did legal research for his firm when I was in college. I was basically an underpaid, under qualified paralegal. You’re right about the parsing bit. One of the main reasons I had no interest in becoming a lawyer. I was scared I’d drown in the minutia.

I decided, after working for a decade out of high school, to go back to school. Long story short, I’m now in my mid-thirties and a 2L in Law School.

I’ve always been good at logic and parsing, so it’s been a natural fit.
