Sure, we'll give them a fair trial before we hang them

By whom? He could have deferred incarceration. That is not unprecedented.

Why should that be a thing?

Yet, we should respect law enforcement when things like that not only happen but are defended? You get pulled over for speeding the cop should give you a ticket and nothing more. They shouldn’t have the option to tune you up if you weren’t respectful enough.

Most cops are pretty lenient with speeders. I frequently travel down a local highway 6-7 mph over the speed limit. Sometimes I am in a group of vehicles sometimes not. I’ve never been stopped when I pass by cops parked in the median with radars, so when I do see someone pulled over on that highway, I know the person was doing well over the speed limit and/or committing other violations. If I ever do get stopped, I would know very well that the cop had every right to stop me and I would be very respectful during the stop. I tend to think that MY attitude towards the cop, who’s just doing his job, has a lot to do with whether I get a ticket or a warning. Perhaps if you cop hating Libs extended a little courtesy and respect towards the people who have the very thankless job of protecting and defending EVERYONE, including all the Lib dumbasses in this country, there would be a lot less people going to jail. Dont’cha think?

There’s a huge gap between “not respectful enough” and what’s actually happening.

I think libs know that but simply can’t bring themselves to admit it.

Libs do know that but the people who are posting “examples” have also said some scary things on the subject of Leos

How would that work, let’s say you refuse to sign the ticket and tell the cop no?.

Isn’t this just basic that you put aside your anger and sign the ticket because that is the Law? The lunatics we see in Mn have mental problems. These are not brave defenders of truth and freedom. They would laugh at the police and tell them to stick it.

I think it was being disrespectful could get you jail or death.

Then the portrayal of “not being respectful enough” is deliberate dishonesty.

There is no “but”.

I am glad you got your point across with regards to these protests but that’s not all that’s being discussed. Because this is not the only time the subject of Leos and proper behavior as to them has arisen.

It’s been discussed ad nauseum before theee protests and often as related to simple interaction between an agent of the state and a civilian

So when posters bring up traffic stops they take it beyond this limited scope that you have decided to assign to the discussion

Spoiled rotten children who never grew out of it.

And of course Trump’s convictions are false and will be overturned, but the brain dead minions have to have their mantras to hold onto. Gives them purpose…

If they acted within the scope of their authority and had an objectively REASONABLE belief that their actions were necessary when carrying out their duties as Federal Officers, they are immune from state prosecution.

thats is up to a court to decide.

I was paraphrasing/quoting the law.

there is no absolute immunity from state charges for ICE officials.

You have the uncanny ability to state the obvious as though you are the originator of the fact.
